key fob programming?

Got my truck with out a fob just got one yesterday and I can not find this ecu. 2001 tacoma prerunner 4 door. Need to reset and get into program mode to accept fob. Instructions said it's under drivers or passenger seat not visible is it under the carpet or where can I find it.

 

I got an 07. I have two keys and one key FOB. I will be watching this thread closely. I am not sure but I think I will pick one up on Amazon and check in here to see if we can get it programmed instead of going to the stealership.

 

my 04 and my 99 were under the lower dash cover behind the ash tray, but they were an ext cab

 

As I understand it, many/most First Gens were NOT equipped with keyless entry. FWIW, however, the instructions I followed when programming a new fob for mine did NOT involve resetting any modules under the seats. They're located here, if you want to give them a try.
