Will do. I'm really hoping it's just a Maestro reflash. Rest of the stuff is cheap aftermarket cameras I may have to replace.

A few steps forward. My minor issues are fixed. They were all me. Have a front camera and thought I had wired it a certain way and I was wrong. Had been waiting for some stuff to use the HDMI input and make it look OEM. That's done. Probably won't ever use it, but if I don't hook it up, I'll need it.

Still Maestro issues. No steering wheel controls at all. It seems everything else is working. Not sure on that. I tried two reflashes and nothing. According to the flashy LEDs on the RR2 there's a communication error. Not sure why. Firmware is being flashed correctly as far as I can tell. Plugs can't be screwed up. Unless I mis-wired something? I dunno.

I'm stumped. Calling idatalink tech support tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Aww, man! Sorry to hear this. All I can think of at this point is that you may something wired incorrectly or else one of your pin connectors on the harness is wrong. Sounds like everything else is good.
The iDatalink guys are good, so I’m sure they’ll get you up and running. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

BTW, I installed the Enfig mic. Works great!

    Awesome on the mic!

It's either a wiring issue or something else. All the diagnosis I can do through the headunit checks out.

Hey, before you call iDatalink, check a couple more things:

First, you should only have four connectors going into the module. The largest of the connectors (the one with the most wires) plugs in on the side where the programming button is, and it connects right next to that button. On the other side of the module, you should have only three connectors: the black data cable (which connects to the back of the head unit), the green connector that plugs in right next to the USB port that you used to flash the module, and the 3-pin power connector (it has larger gauge wires). There should be no other connectors going into your module.

Next, double-check that you did everything in Step 4 of the installation instructions. Attached are the Step 4 instructions I got when I flashed my module. Assuming everything else is correct and the connections are all secure, I'm guessing this is where the problem is.
Finally, did you reset the module? That might be all you need to do. If your head unit is still operational and the screen is attached, you can actually reset it right from the OEM setup screen. There's a section for Maestro settings and in that, you'll see an option for doing a master reset of the module. Doing so has no effect on the flashing - you won't lose that. You can also do the manual reset per the instructions, but that's a bit cumbersome and almost requires a third hand.

    Good luck!

Ok, sorry, friend. I’m out of ideas. Hopefully iDatalink can get it resolved for you!

All working now. And I am a moron. Before demonstrating that let me throw out some excuses.

So my last radio died. I pulled it out and just left the space empty. The wires all hanging out drove me crazy so I stuffed them back in. I also have the OEM+ set up. Somewhere during my ownership of three different radios I swore there was a plug not used during installation.

With that in mind, I wired up this radio and had an unused plug. I looked for a mate and couldn't find anything. I really looked. I threw a shrug and kept on. Then promptly forgot about it.

Finally called iDatalink. The tech is telling me which plug is the steering wheel controls and I'm remembering. Guess which plug. I hung up pretty much knowing the solution is correct.

Man I dug around in the dash and cannot find the plug. I finally hit what I think are loose wires and pull. Sho' enough it's the missing plug. It was stuffed down behind the start button. Connect the two and ta-da!

So thanks guys for troubleshooting tips!

I am left with one question: anyone running a front camera? If you are do you know how to turn off the low speed activation?

Another firmware update released early April.

I'm hoping it fixed two annoying issues I'm having with Bluetooth and screen mirroring.

Yep, I saw that, and will probably go ahead and do the update this week even though my unit seems to be working okay. Good luck!

tried to install today, my dmx1057 won't power up, installed the 6 screws for the screen plate and installed the black cover w2 screws. Still no luck, "ugh" I'm burnt out for the day.

I have one question on the dmx1057 radio harness did you have to ground the black wire to chassis? I didn't and just wired it to the TO3 harness black ground wire and there seems to be no continuity between these black ground wire to chassis ground
