Just got this installed today. I'll have 30hrs of non stop driving coming up for a review. Right from the start I customized my home screen and setup guages to monitor the drive. The guage capability is impressive. I'll post more feedback as it develops.

Purchased from crutchfield and I flashed the iDatalink to a 2014 TRD Sport

Just installed the same setup a couple months ago. I spend a lot of time on the road and the CarPlay is great for navigation. My biggest gripe is the fit of the faceplate with the head unit itself given all of the wires behind. How is the profile of yours on the faceplate? Does it protrude at all?

Pretty neat HU. I wan't to see if it can use the gauges with an Bluetooth OBDII scanner vs the iDatalink.

It can read engine code, not sure on erasing codes...yes on tranny temp. Tranny temp is my center guage...no data on them in this shot because I just assigned the guages. Have not driven yet

Check your firmware version(if you haven't already), there might be an update on Kenwood's website.

Did you also have to purchase the idatalink, in addition? Or did it come with it?

After a good drive today my first thoughts are...I hate android auto! It's in conflict of other apps on yout phone, and it's not easy to turn it off when you are plugged into the head unit usb. The only benefit to android auto that I see is the ability to have a larger map on the head unit vs your phone. I'd rather just keep everything bluetooth and have full functionality.

What I do like is the guage data. It has intake F, which would be interesting to compare stock vs cold air intake.

The distance to empty is not stable, it is probably because its calculating instantaneous mpg to the fuel level which can fluctuate ~5% from sloshing.

Going to swap out instantaneous mpg for average mpg to see it there is a difference.

I just installed a Kenwood DDX9704S with the Maestro RR. For whatever reason the trans temp is not an option for me, any ideas?

Check each guage, it may not be available for each guage location

You also need the idatalink cable.

Is there any else plugged into your ob2 port? If so you need to remove it.

Nothing else plugged in. Almost every other gauge works just fine, Load, RPM, intake air temp.... Also the TPMS isn’t working either.
