Anyone running the new Klever a/t2? Looking at them in LT265/75r16, but wanted to see if any real-world input out yet.

    Cheers!

Curious to hear about the Klever A/T2 if anyone has put some miles on them for daily...?

Oh there will be some mods all right
I just purchased these for my Tundra and will post pictures and initial impressions once they get here as well as updates after more miles are put on them.

More pics as promised. Initial impression is that they ride great and are not loud at all. I will rotate tires every oil change and keep an eye on treadwear and road noise and update after I get more miles on them.

Another mini update, put them on some gravel roads with some muddy spots. They did great and I am so happy with their ride, as well as performance and road noise.

Anyone have more updates on these? I’ve used kenda for years riding mountain bikes and am curious how these are performing. Price is very low @ 130 per tire for stock 265 70 r16.

I have about four or five thousand miles on them now many of which were gravel roads. I'm still very satisfied. They are a tad louder than new but that is normal. They have done great in the rain and in the dry and they ride very nicely. Also accidentally went off the side of the boat landing into the muck and it dug and flung like nobody's business

@Larry Dangerfield Looking for a one-year update, thinking of getting some 235/80R17s. It's between these and the KO2s right now, and I'm liking the listed 41 lbs weight if that's accurate. How are yours holding up?

Well....so ya see....Lol. I traded in the tundra that they were on. The whole time that I had them they were amazing tires with one fairly large issue. All four tires with some worse than others developed small cracks all over. some of which I could actually get my fingernail into. I checked the date codes and the tires weren't old or anything. I'm assuming it was a fluke and or bad batch though because I haven't really come across anybody else saying that. All of that being said, I happen to be running them again because they came on the Tacoma I bought recently :D Once again I am impressed by them. I just took them on a fairly long, rough, and rocky road trip and I expected them to look somewhat beat up after it but yet they still look great. Also, like in the tundra, I am super impressed with just how fast they will dig a hole. I was pulling a tree out of the way with the strap and wanted to see if I could do it in two wheel drive instead of four. I was pulling and then met too much resistance and within like one second they dug a 9 inch hole. Final thoughts, I originally wasn't going to run them again just because there are so many different tires to choose from but the fact that they came on the truck meant I was giving them another shot and so far I'm impressed just like I was before. Most likely I will never be able to give winter reviews though because I always run winter tires.

Can you clarify something for me, is the speed in which they dig a hole a good thing in your eyes? Or are you saying they spin easily and don’t get much traction?

A good thing. Instead of just spinning and getting gummed up on the surface they are grabbing and digging down.

@LarryDangerfield I’m sorry to trouble you but are you still running the Kenda ATs?

I’m curious to hear if you experienced any cracking with your second set, or if you’re still super happy with them.

I’m going to be going up to 285/75/16 AT’s soon and I could get 5 of these for the price of 4 of basically any other reputable tire. I normally don’t go the cheap route but I really can’t find any bad reviews about the Klevers.

Hey! I ended up taking them off to go up a size so I still am unable to provide a long-term review. Before I got rid of them though there was no cracking and just like on my Tundra they performed well in all conditions. @ColoradoTJ is running them so I assume if he has any cracking issues he will post up in here. I wouldn't worry too much though because everywhere I go I see them on vehicles in parking lots and you would think if it was a widespread issue that you would hear about it. My grandpa actually just put a set on his Tahoe so if I see anything bad happen with his set I'll make sure I post up in here as well. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful than that.

Thanks so much! I appreciate you responding anyway. I agree, I’m seeing them more and more so I stopped writing them off as crappy cheap tires. It’s good to know you didn’t experience cracking on the second set. This is just making my decision harder lol
