Kenda Klever 265/75 tires, why shouldn't I buy these?

They are selling for $149/per tire in 265/75/16 with a 60k tread rating. Reviews seem to match exactly what most people should need in New England-Quiet on road with good dry/wet grip, snow rating and a slight bump in size will make my Pro look more like how it should've come from the factory. Anyone have feedback? Doesn't seem to be much information on these besides in larger sizes. Thanks.

In this world, you usually get what you paid for. It is what you don't know now that will piss you off later. Having said that, I hope they are everything as advertised and as safe as assumed.

Seems like a chinesium tire. Likely will be fine, but far from my first choice, especially considering the truck it's going on.

Some guys on here swear by them, but when ever I'm rotating these off make tires we find early separation, cracking and complaints of vibrations.

Lately Toyo is having quality control issues, but they are much larger so any issues they have are magnified.

I'd say read some reviews and make an educated purchase. For the price you could buy 6 at the same price as 4 AAA tires.

Kenda’s are legit. I’d get them if I was you. They’ll look sweet on a Pro.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I have ran them on 2 trucks in 2 different sizes.

The good: Great grip off road. They dig hard and fast in soft stuff. Also feel great on dry pavement, no squirm and ride decent. Also they're not too loud for being a fairly aggressive pattern.

The okay: in the rain they are fine but not amazing (although with trucks having a light rear end I'm not sure if any tires are considered amazing in the rain as far as grip is concerned) seem to do decent against hydroplaning as well

The bad: the first set I ran that was on my Tundra had premature cracking even though the date code on the side said they were a pretty recent batch. I'm hoping/assuming that it was simply a bad batch as my Tacoma that I bought this year came with them on it.

    Pics because everyone loves pics.

Before I got my Taco, had a Wrangler and the Gladiator guys were going all out for these. They were the most inexpensive 35s out there, and Wally world had some insane deals for them. Apparently, they still held up pretty well too. The biggest knock was that they didnt look as good as some other options out there. I think they look fine and at the end of the day, its how they perform that matters. At a buck fitty each, why not try them out?

Finally bought and installed these(Update) i guess. If anyone wants a sick deal on these, PM me as i paid less than $500 shipped for the set. They look great, my tire shop said they were a PAIN to balance, took additional weights otherwise they rode fine up to 80 MPH and are just noticeably louder than stock.

Whenever my Falkens wear out i'm going with the kenda klever Rt's. The kenda's are alot better tires than falkens.

Probably have seen my comments on the Kenda thread in the tire section, but I swear by them. Ran the 35x10.5s for 55k miles with an eyeball alignment and hard wheeling, running the 37s right now and on my next build I will be running the same tire, probably in a 40" if they make them.
Live in the Pnw so all I do is drive in rain or snow, they do great on/offroad and I dont see a reason why the smaller sizes should be any different. Probably putting some on my work truck as well.

Currently with their special running yes, but these seem to remain around $150 per tire annually.

Did you get the SL-rated tire, as posted in your link?

I had SL-rated Wilkpeaks and man, I blew a huge chunk out of it on a simple fire road and lost all confidence in them. Only time I ever blew a tire was when I had SL's. Upgraded shortly after that lol.

Kenda has done great in the offroad tire industry for a very long time. These tires look awesome! I had some MT2s for about 5000 miles. They had great traction in gravel, snow/ice, sand and mud. As well as great on road performance and were pretty quiet. I sold them to my cousin because I got a lift and upgraded, but he still is running them 4 years later on his 06 tundra, with at least 85% tread left m. I am looking into getting some 265/75r 16 kenda RTs for my 2017 Tacoma for this winter.
