anyone found a way to keep the lense on the back up camera clean during rain and dirty situations? Anyone try rain x or something similar? Kind of annoying how dirty and blurry it gets in the rain.

Happens on any rig I have had. Pretty much worthless all winter long here.

    Reserected from the dead.
I just run my finger over the lense as I walk behind it. Good enough for me.

I’m not sure what the clear cover is, but if it is plastic or glass, be careful not to scratch it and treat it like any lens - and don’t use windex if it is plastic, many clear plastics fog up with that... use water to rinse off any mud and small grit, then a lens wipe.

I usually keep a gallon of all-weather washer fluid in my bed. If the lens gets dirty I just splash a couple of ounces on the lens to rinse it off. Works great. Also, sometimes when I'm filling up I'll use the gas station's windshield washer squeegee and fluid to clean it.

Like others have said, whatever you do, don't wipe the lens with anything when it's dry. It will get scratched.

If you're like me, I keep a small spritzer of detail juice and a dedicated glass microfiber towel in the glovebox. If I remember, I hit it when at the gas station. Or, pull a 'mom' and wipe it clean with the magic spit finger.

The spritzer is mainly for bird bombs.

Don’t use Windex. Use Glass Plus or Invisible glass. Both are safe for glass and plastic and especially on the inside of aftermarket window tints.
