    KDMAX tune
Just got the Pro tune a couple days ago and have driven maybe 100 miles. Overall, I love it. It’s like I’m driving a completely different truck. I do have one question though, does the tune “learn” over time and get better/smoother? Also, I have been running 93 octane for over a year. Will it be possible to go back to 87?

The ECU is always learning (when certain parameters are met).

All tunes are also octane learning. You will not have any issues going from premium to regular.

Not all tunes are OL. KDMax Pro is, so there are no issues there. But previous versions and lots of other brand tunes there are separate files for 87/91 octane.

I have switched to 87 from 92 a week ago and dont the see any issues.
Kclv is being stable, hovering around 25.

That's incorrect and had already been discussed on here before. If it's built from a stock file its clearly OL, and if it's built from a 2.0 file it has code from Mat directly that makes it learn faster.

Why then 2.0 came out with files for Reg and Premium and with restrictions on the octane selection for each file?
BTW, Stock and 2.0 pinged equally, throwing -7 on a cycle.

Because the tunes start at one end of the spectrum but there is no limitation (87 vs 93). Mat has stated this before.

So if I load designated 2.0 Premium file and the best 87 in the town, Am I going to ping?
