Hello all, i just bought a tacoma a few weeks ago and im trying to figure out how to transport two kayaks and my camping gear. I was originally just going to tie down the kayaks in the bed, but then that doesnt leave enough room for my camping equipment. I've looked at a few crossbars online that would fit over a tenneu cover, which would allow me to put the camping gear under the tanneu and the kayaks on the rack, but im not sure if that is the best or easiest way to go about it. any ideas would be helpful!

Get some billie bars over a toneau...yaks on the bars, gear below. You could get yaks on the roof with a a rack, buts it more of a PITA.

    ARE Shell with Yakima Racks
I have used a Yakima OverHaul HD bed rack for hauling kayaks and canoes. It can be mounted on trucks with tonneau covers. This bed rack is height adjustable. It can be set to a height that is the most comfortable for loading boats. I replaced that rack with an ARE shell. I mounted the HD crossbars on the shell for carrying my boats. The shell provides the best security for camping gear and a deflated 13' raft. I drive cross country for some trips and stay in hotels the nights I don't camp.

This is my fishing/camping set up - diamond back cover with yakima outpost rack and the big catch saddles. Not the easiest due to the weight of the boats but it frees up the bed for gear and allows me to tow my camper behind.
