Seems to be working for me, although the price I'm seeing is $182.56 rather than $157.51. And there's still the caveat that they can charge shipping for larger stuff and these may qualify for that. I'm not buying these so I didn't complete the transaction.

So I have been wondering. What is the difference between the normal headlights and the TRD Pro headlights?

I just went into the Toyota OEM parts portal and my local dealer doesn't have these great prices. Sport Package headlights are $228. So, I changed the dealer over to Spring Hill and wow, there they were. Great prices. But, unfortunately, the headlights are offered only for local pickup. Damn it all.

For that kind of money - and the fact that they out-perform anything aftermarket - why would anybody buy anything else?

Exactly...I agree... coming from someone who took a chance on aftermarket set that turned out to be a big fail.

Well that settles it. I'm getting these for after I start saving for my prerunners face lift. Is there a pro version of the fog and tail lights? And what would be the best LED bulbs to get.

There are folks that value looks over performance. (I've never been one of them.) Sorry to hear you had to learn the hard way. And thank you for your service!

For the fog lights, you're far better off going with aftermarket replacement pods as opposed to drop in LED bulbs. Here's the complete story:

The LED SAE J583 Fog Pod & Fog Light Review | Tacoma World

Spoiler Alert: Diode Dynamics SS3's are the clear winner for now.

I went with what looked like a "premium" set of aftermarkets, Eagle Eyes made in Taiwan, IIRC ... not expensive but not the cheapest, either. But they both leaked and the mounting points on the drivers side light didn't fit up to the truck correctly. Unfortunately I didn't install them right away so I couldn't send them back. Lesson learnt! OEM all the way on this stuff.

And yes, I used to serve on a long black tube full of seamen (old submariner's joke). Trust me, they are ready for whatever the Russkies do.

Would those just drop in like the OEM ones or do they require modifications?
