If that head got delivered to me I would have built a potato cannon large enough to land it on the front steps from which it came

Dunno if its close enough to be an option, but Noland Cylinder Head Service in KC is who did mine.

Also a machine shop especially a race engine machine shop can easily repair cracked cyl heads . If done correctly it can be cheaper than buying a new one

I think it's more than .030 out. That's why his machine shop can't fix it. I think he needs to send it to Danny in Austin.

You should contact these folks tomorrow. https://www.cylinder-heads.com/

I had good luck with them on another vehicle. They've been there a long time............

milling ahead brings all components closer to the block

valves closer to the piston tops

rotating center lines of cams closer to the crank

just sending that fix to someone not aware of how much closer ............... not good

Yeah the warp on the head was too much to have it machined out and still be within spec. I cant remember exactly how much but I can check it again when I get back home tonight but I got it boxed back up and ready to ship back out tomorrow morning.

Most places don't have the 8 intake port/coil pack/camshaft sensor in stock but I will for sure be contacting https://www.cylinder-heads.com/ tomorrow as it's $650 after core and Autozone says they have it but it's $910 after core so I'm going to let my friend decide what direction he want's to go because I don't want to keep playing hot potato with eBay sellers like this.

I bought a cylinder head for my 1.8T AMB Audi engine from eBay. The listing advertised this head as checked and inspected by the highest industry standards... What a load of crap! They removed the head chucked it in a box and mailed it to me. The head was nasty, warped, and cracked!

you get what you pay for most of the time. I don't why so many people go to Amazon and ebay for auto parts.

Find a reputable company and go there.

I concur. I don't even buy shoes or clothing online because you can't make sure they fit first. Burn some calories to GO SOMEWHERE and get what you need the first time. A neighbor of mine is addicted to Amazon and it shows because he's a bulbous lazy slob who never leaves his apartment. Pathetic!! The culture of buying damn near everything online and being shocked when things don't work out is par for the disappointing course.
