I bought this vehicle with a good title but it was torn apart, literally on the inside and needs quite a bit of body work. When I picked it up, every module was ripped from the vehicle and it only had seats, carpet and wiring. Even the headliner was ripped out. - aftermarket Katzkin - aftermarket rear heated seats - upgraded sound system - Dynamat throughout.
    Hey guys,
I ordered rims and tires a long time ago for my build and they just came in and we put them on the truck. We did a bit of cutting of the plastic, but I can only get a single turn out of the wheel before they hit the frame.

So, I need to go higher (was expected) but I can't figure out how MUCH higher.
I don't want a 6" lift, but it is looking like maybe i have to?

There are SOOOOO many threads about wheels and tires, and honestly the more I read it the more confused I get. People stating things like "Any 3rd gen can fit 33's, 12" wide with very little cutting". Blanket statements like that, that I have seen in over a dozen threads, are just ridiculous after seeing these things on the truck.

So, instead of just asking "what will fit?" like most threads, I want to ask :

Can anyone show me a 3-4" lift that has 33's, 12" wide tire, 20" rim and -44 offset that has NO RUBBING? (cutting is fine, as long as it isn't of the frame, and it's only plastic. I don't want to open up a chance for rust nor cause a safety issue).

I am going to order the lift tomorrow, i just HATE the look of the 6" lift. If I do the lift, I am going all the way and doing BDS 6" coil over. I Don't want to this though. I really don't want to go taller than 4", but I don't want to waste the money on the 4" and then STILL have rubbing on the frame!

Edit: Yeah, they are a bit wide right now but I will be doing the widebody fenders and bed sides this spring so the tires won't really stick out much if at all.

You're always going to rub with a - 44 offset and no cmc, lift is irrelevant if you're not going to cut metal.

Probably cab mount chop, been done 1,000 times without issue. Get someone to slowly drive forward and backwards while turning while you watch were it rubs and go from there.

Cab Mount Chop. Cutting part of the frame. Your rubbing problem comes from your wheel offset and tire width, not your lack of lift.

33x10.5 will fit with a close to stock wheel offset.

What type of lift are you running now?, and SPC upper control arms will also help with clearance and less rubbing.

Be more cost effective and better for the life of components to ditch the wheels and tires and get something that works.

Yes, obviously. But I'm trying to do an elaborate build. I'll take the tires off for now till I can fit them. I want these tires, and these rims. I'm putting $20k into the truck and trying to do a sema style prerunner build. I don't want something stock looking.

Cost and work isn't the issue. Aesthetic and not wanting a 6" lift plus the added height to the fenders with the widebody will just look silly on 33's. That's the issue I'm trying to solve.

I want these to fit. I don't want to sacrifice so I can save $1000.

It's stock lift right now but I'm thinking of around a 4" BDS.

You lost me at "sema style prerunner" with your spacer lift.

What are you talking about with a spacer lift?

Pre runner builds are actually bad ass. It’s those deep ass 20’s that are killing the cool. That said, not my money or truck, I just don’t think you will get much helpful information from this forum in that area unless you get in the Hawaii chat group

For $20k you could have a bad ass build on long travel suspension

I think I already got my answer. I need the CMC. Already found some shops locally that do this and emailed them. I didn't know this was a thing.

The only thing I'm hitting on is the cab mount. .... So far

All you need is an angle grinder, a buddy who can kind of weld and a can of spray paint

The BDS 4" kit you were talking about is a spacer lift.

Edit: I guess technically it's part spacer part drop bracket.

You might also use the search bar on cab mount relocate kits. I dont have a ton of experience in that area but I know they exist and if I were trying to stuff wide tires I'd research all the solutions to the cab mount locations.
