It’s possible, especially if someone doesn’t know what they’re doing. I’ll only jump start my own or a friends car. For everyone else I carry a jump box.

Any car or truck you Take the risk & can burn your computer if you jump it while it’s running all you have to do to be safe is shut the engine off make sure you connect the positive & Ground correct then start up your truck rev it to about 3k while jumping it & will be ok FYi

Good suggestions, I’ll add that I turn-off all my electronics and set the A/C Blower to Low or 1. I don’t generally find it necessary to rev my engine unless I’m trying to jump the Diesel engine in my work truck (F-550). I use really thick Jumper Cables as well.

Not hard. Turn it off. Connect cables correctly. Start truck. Start dead vehicle. Turn your truck off. Disconnect cables. Move on.

Guys, it's not a new thing. It could happen 25 years ago if you fucked it up.

Except, they say to Not Connect the cables directly to your battery but to a metal part on your truck- Connecting directly to battery can cause a short Or ruin your computer (if dead car is an older model) apparently this is directed to Newer model cars jumping old cars. Who knew

Again, same thing could happen 25 years ago. Nothing to do with Tacoma and everything to do with Ohms Law.

    This, all day, everyday:

Too easy, protected, and useful for a bunch of other stuff, like mood lighting:
    IMG_20191206_164844.jpg

Jumpers just take up space and are otherwise useless anymore.

Mood lighting is my primary concern. Truck ain't gotta run to "set the mood." ;)

I'm not an electronics expert but, "you have two alternators running against each other" doesn't sound like it makes sense.

+1 on the jump box. Mine has a couple USB’s, a cig lighter socket, and a work light on it as well. Like the video said, it’ll yell at you if you don’t hook it up right and won’t turn on. I take it out and plug it in every month or so that way it’s good if I ever need it. I helped an employee at basspro with it while I was on my way out a while back, he had a Ram 2500 and it had him running in 2 min.
