I am looking at upgrading the stock stereo (entune A+) in my ‘18 DC and this sub box seems a very intriguing option. I am a bit of an audiophile, but I have no desire to have it so loud that I am heard from any distance. Are any of you folks using this? If so, how are you powering it. I am also considering the kicker key for the fronts. I also would prefer to keep the stock headunit. I am probably going to piece this together over time. So, I intend to do the factory door speakers last.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    ROT

    Fish,
Could you elaborate? What did you power it with?

Had a rockford t power 500x1 mono 750 constant it sounded really muddy almost like having single big 6x9 behind my seat , I did away with it and went with two t1-s1 10s love It!!! everything sound deadened , I didn’t want things rattling and being loud from afar too , i have a stock head unit with 360.3 processor, all t2 components with 600x4 power

Did you have any photos of the setup by chance? I am keen to not lose any space inside. 2 10’s sounds a little invasive to the interior space.. :)
but the stock setup is unsatisfying in the low end to say the least. I will assume you had it not running full range, with a x-over or something?

I have been happy with my JL stealth box. While you can always have more on the low end I have never felt it is lacking...don’t really play any specific base head songs though.

my system is an active system that was professionally tuned.

It is being driven by an alpine pdx-v9. Speakers are audiofrog 6x9 and 2.5 tweeeters in the front.

    Fish,
That’s a sharp lookin box. I assume it’s a prefab setup? And it still fits behind the pass rear seat?

I am not really about the heavy bass stuff necessarily. But I do like the a full range of sound represented in the music I do listen to. From Steely Dan to TOOL, a wide variety of music. Clean clear and present is the goal.

Nice setup. No problems or concern with the absence of grilles?

I'm looking to get 2 10's mounted as well. Still waiting on the box.. What sort of power are you feeding the subs? Currently I'm running a rockford P1000X5 for the fronts and the rears.. Focal ISS 690 components up front and the rears are Focal 165AC.. That amp has about 500 or so wats for the 5th channel at 1 ohm..was wondering if I should also pickup a dedicated sub amp.

i have the single Stealthbox with a JL 10TW3 and JL XD 600. it has been great for the last 5 years up until a week ago where i blew the Voice coil on the Sub now waiting for a new one. :(., for the longest time i ran with the stock head unit and it finally started having issues. so late last year i got an Alpine ILX-259 installed. then about a few weeks ago i updated all the speakers with 4x JL C-650X's and the Subaru Tweeters. but fully agree about the stock units not having enough oomph. i lasted about 2 months and had to get a sub.

I may have to look at the JD 100/1 The power ts10's are about 500RMS each.. I've been looking at the rockford equivalent but I think its going to come down to how much real estate I have for amps on the sub box..

Stealth boxes are great, but $pendy. For the amount you'll spend on one, you can usually have a good shop build you something that will outperform it. They're generally well thought-out regarding use of space and stealth though, so if that's more of a goal than output, it might be worth it.

I looked at the stealth boxes and they are a bit pricey for what they are.. I wound up ordering a dual 10 from soundoff audio.. Should be arriving soon so I can finally finish this project I've been working on for the last month
