A couple searches didn't turn up much in the way of impact/drill specific jacks. Do these exist? I've seen folks using scissor jacks in this way, but wondered about how good an idea it really was to use an impact on a screw-type scissor jack like that. Not finding too many heavy duty scissor jacks either unless they're made for RVs. Or are there jacks made just for impacts?

    TIA!

No it’s not ideal to use an impact on a scissor jack...but it’s commonly done. Lots of guys get the scissor jack from a Humvee.

I fabricated my own adaptor to my scissor jack. Just curved ( open looped) 1/2" threaded rod, reinforced with a weld bead, then welded the thing to a 1/2" socket.
So changing tires is quicker, just use the impact to jack, then remove and reinstall tires.
To reinstall, I just snug them with the impact, finish by hand, otherwise I'm replacing some of the wheel studs.

I ordered an adapter from Amazon - should be here in a day or 2. Same idea - it uses a 1/2 inch drive.

    this thing

I'll post impressions on it once I get a chance to try it out.

I think I'm going to try & score something like a Humvee jack as mentioned above & keep that around for emergencies. I drive a lot in a crazy busy metro & don't care for the idea of spending more time than absolutely necessary changing a tire on the side of a freeway or in a bad neighborhood.

Well, it looks the part. Don't have a jack I can use with it yet, but maybe I'll start looking for one of those.

The whole rig. I tossed in a small Makita drill bit case for scale to show how little space the whole thing takes. The little Milwaukee FUEL impact is WAY more powerful than it looks. Might trade that out for a drill as I do hate to use an impact on a scissor jack. If I can only find a jack suited to an impact...
