I bought these used recently. They are 3-ton jack stands. My questions is do they look supportive? They look really hollow and I’m question their sturdiness.

I have the exact same stands in a 6 ton version I have been using for about 5 years and I'm not dead yet.

Should two be enough to lift the front of my truck with both wheels off?

The jack stands aren't doing the lifting. But they will support the chassis once a desired working height is achieved. However you need to make sure they can reach a sufficient height to support the chassis after taking tire size and suspension travel into account.

That’s what I meant. I’m asking if 3-ton will support it?

3 ton(6klbs) is more than enough weight capacity but once again you need to make sure they can achieve the desired height you need to support the chassis.

Those look pretty good for 3 ton. And if they say 3 ton they should be supportive enough for the truck (which weighs a little over 2 tons) so long as they don't have cracks or any bad welds. That said I really like my 6 ton stands from Autozone. They're a lot taller and much more stout. I feel better about leaving the truck on them for days vs the 3 tons.

EDIT: comparison shot with 6 tons up front and 3 tons in the rear from the last time the suspension came off to get revalved. Lived like this for about 2 weeks.

Yes. Each jack stand is rated to support more than the GVWR of your truck. With just the front being supported you'll likely have about 1200lbs of weight on each stand or about an 80% margin before reaching the rated capacity.

I leave my floor jack under a jack point once my jack stands are supporting all the weight of the truck. Gives me a little more piece of mind.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Don't think they'll lift it but they'll sure as hell hold it up.

3 ton jackstands are rated high enough for a 2-2.5 ton Tacoma, but it’s likely they are not tall enough (depending on what part of the truck you are using as a jack point). You can put some wood under them though. 6 ton are more likely to be tall enough.

To get the tires off the ground on our trucks, the 3-ton jack stands typically need to be extended almost fully and become borderline unstable. I use 6-ton jack stands when supporting the frame, and 3-ton jack stands when supporting the rear axle.

Never knew that. Quick internet search says those manufactured after 2015 should be rated as pairs, prior to that is dependent on manufacturer.

Why the hate for Harbor Freight jack stands? I'm assuming you mean the Pittsburg stands that had a recall and not the Daytona stands with the safety insert?
