I running dtlt's with stock Y-pipe and 3 in catback with magnaflow muffler, and am dealing with the dreaded drone at low rpm. With a little research, I've seen that a J-pipe resonator can be installed to eliminate/attenuate exhaust drone. It seems pretty common in the v8 world, but I'm wondering if anyone is doing something like this in their v6 taco?

That's kind of what I've found, but I don't see why not. Maybe I'll just have to try it.

Do it. It'll work. I almost did it to my GTO back when I used to have it, never did because I just ended swapping out to Borla's, but the way the gasses flows through the piping they would be perfect for cancelling out unwanted drone but still retaining the awesome sound you want.

Cool! Seems like a cheaper option than an in-line resonator anyways. I think i'm going to build one that can be inserted in between the muffler and the tail pipe. That way I can always take it out if it doesn't do what I want for some reason. I absolutely love the growl of my exhaust when I step on it, but that part throttle drone is just embarrassing. Nothing like bad sounding exhaust to give a rig some ricer status.
