Hey all. Someone local to me is selling this camper shell. She says it's a Pro Top. Can't tell me much more other than its carpeted inside. It comes with the rack in the picture.

New taco owner and no nothing about shells.

Cheaper cap, cheaper price. You can get a leer legend new for not too much more.

Never heard of em. Must be a west coast company. They look nice. If they have similar quality to a Leer/snugtop, i'd say thats a pretty decent deal. Especially if it has the rack and carpet headliner. Looks like it has dual handle back glass like the Leer 100r. I'd check to see if it has a tilt down front slider glass.

I got my century cap With the carpet lining installed for 1800 with no rack

Century comes off the same assembly line as leer so it’s the same thing. My buddy had a pro top on his 2nd gen and he loves it

Let us know how it goes. I might get a shell instead of a tonneau cover. I'm on the fence on choosing which way to go.

Trading my hard tonneau for a softopper. I haul stuff around and find it annoying that I can't lean in to grab stuff without unclipping and folding the tonneau over... Save your money and get something you can actually crawl into or lean in and grab stuff without the hassle. I'll never get that 700$ back =(

I am also considering a softopper. I mainly want a shell for camping. I like the idea of the softopper because it's much easier to store when I'm not using it. But I suspect a hard camper she'll like this one will be a little warmer than a softopper. Just have to check this one out.

The other alternative is to just get a bed tent. Cheaper than either, easy to store and will give me more head room.

I'm more in the research phase but then this deal popped up so maybe I will jump on it. Not 100% yet.

I got my hard shell for camping too and for storage in my truck for my tools and other things, there are a bunch of threads on here for setting up your rig to camp out of the shell. That’s my plan, gonna build a platform with drawers for storage and get a futon mattress to sleep on when I do camp cause it folds in half and is easier to store

$1,200 a good deal here? I have a MGM already so this would already be color matched.

I don't understand why the ad says that it fits only a 2017 or 2018. All 3rd generation beds are the same dimensions (long or short bed).

If the color match is good for your truck, it's a bargain.
