Scored a used camper off recently. The part number is 100R 77TCDC which is for a double cab but everything I read insisted AC and DC long bed shells are the same fitment around the cab area. The shell lines match up pretty well but the top section comes towards the cab and is really close and looks a little off. Is this normal?20230304_130502.jpg 20230304_130508.jpg

Pretty sure leer has a couple different shapes there depending on quad cab or access cab. You may have the quad cab version. I wouldn't worry about it, still a nice cap

I compared with my buddies DCLB and the end of our cabs have the same curve. Really weird. I have my shell pushed towards the rear of the truck as far as I can otherwise I think I would have rubbing between the cab and shell.

This chart definitely indicates the 77TCDC is for a double cab

I can see what you mean, that's pretty close to rubbing on the cab

Here are some shots further away, looks a bit off compared to all the photos I've seen. 20230312_114848.jpg 20230312_114853.jpg 20230312_114857.jpg

Definitely not the correct shell for your truck.

Here is my Leer 180 for comparison. Something seems off with that topper on your truck..maybe not a Tacoma topper or is from a Gen 1??

Definitely not for a first gen, the paint code matches the silver sky metallic found on 2014/15 2nd gens. I started another thread on the 2nd gen forum, it's looking like DCLB cabs are shaped differently than AC cabs.
