I get constant texts from various places and normally just ignore them. Except now that my phone is paired with the truck it pops up constantly on the dash. I have turned off text notifications every single way ive come up with on the phone and get NO notifications from my actual phone, but the truck still pops them up every time. I cannot find any way to set preferences with this on the truck side of the equation?

    Anything im missing?

Ok, I think Ive figured this out. The setting we are looking for isnt with the truck or with the messages, its with bluetooth settings themselves on your phone. Open up your phones bluetooth settings, you should see list of devices, then click on the toyota one, then change the messages to off. You can still have notifications on your phone if you want just not on the trucks screen. Looks like it would work for calls(would just go straight to your phone and not the truck)

There should be settings on your stereo while you are in park. Go to the bluetooth settings, then you may need to go to your connected phone settings to turn off the notifications.

I have looked and looked. When the system doesnt want you to do something it still shows the option, but grayed out. I cant find anywhere there that allows you to do it. Can you please give a step by step on how to access this setting? Is it possible that its something that has changed since your 2015?

It's in the settings, if you haven't figured it out by tomorrow I'll find it and post when I get to work. Unless you have a different deck than me
