Is there such a tonneau cover that is quickly removeable with only 1 person that is also waterproof-ish?

I understand that no tonneau cover is 100% waterproof.

What do you mean by removeable?? Completely taking it off of the truck?

My Undercover comes off in about 60 seconds. But . . . it takes two.

    Totally waterproof.

From my research, only the hard top covers are waterproofish and everything else is water resistant. Most of the covers are removable by one person with the exception being the hard tops and not because their heavy, but more because of their physical size. Several of my co-workers also looked into this and concluded that the OEM Tacoma cover is the most reliable and water resistant. You can always add something to help seal it more.

    I liked the Undercover SE.

I’ve shrunk down to just under 6’2” and I was able to easily remove the Undercover SE from my shortbed crew F150 4X4 by myself by draping a heavy moving blanket over each bed rail and tail light along with one blanket on the tailgate and just pulling it backwards and then down so that the front half of the cover is resting on the tailgate.

Then I just lowered the rear of the cover onto a blanket on the ground, and moved the front of the cover up vertically and pivoted the cover over and against the garage wall while resting on a blanket.

I was able to do the install by myself using the same method in reverse.

The Tacoma bed is narrower, a bit longer but lower, so I think it would be easier to remove. The weight is about the same.

My Diamondback cover was completely waterproof and removable. It was very rad. Check them out. Big $$$$ though

I've since moved on and got a utility cap with my new truck which is way radder than any tonneau...radX2

OEM covers is 95% waterproof unless you decide to powerwash the corners the some water will leak in. I took mine off solo and is sitting my garage.

I have the undercover Ultra Flex folding cover. Takes maybe a few minutes to get off. There is 2 screw knobs at the front that you undo when it's folded up and its lifts off. Weighs like 47lbs. Has drain tubes that divert the water, it does get a little wet under the bed mat sometimes. I can take it off or put it back on by myself.

Undercovers are about at close to waterproof as you can get. I used to have a bakflip that leaked a little. Its 60ish pounds and can ge taken off by yourself with some technique. Its not the weight that's the issue but the size.

I have the undercover flex as well,.. pretty easy to do with one person. and i'd say pretty close to waterproof in my case.

the only thing I don't like is that it uses the truck's bedrails for install.... so you lose the ability to install anything on those. And their rail attachments stay on if you just remove the cover, so you still don't get that functionality back.

Bakfip cover looks pretty similar, and has a little bracket that allows you to relocate the bedrails for use. I checked yesterday, and they won't work with the Undercover.

Why yes there is! I have a trifold on my F150 that works great as it lays on top of the rails and tightens underneath so no bolting needed. Get one that is solid and not the soft vinyl type. My new TanTaco just arrived yesterday and I have ordered one for it too from RealTruck.com

    Here are images for reference.
    Also, a long bed Taco is the same as a regular 4 door F150!IMG_20180418_095913_01.jpg IMG_20180418_095911_01.jpg KIMG2143.jpg KIMG2144.jpg

I wasn't sure I would like a tonneau cover so went cheap. Got this one from eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-05-18-Toyota-Tacoma-5-short-Bed-Hard-Trifold-Clamp-On-Soild-Tonneau-Cover/401498088250?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Goes on or off in 2-3 minutes by myself. Probably 50 lbs give or take. Has a spring clip on each side of each section to hold it down.

Like @oscolivar1 mentioned above, unless I pressure wash the corners, it stays very dry. Even then just a little gets in.

My OEM tonneau cover barely lets any rain or water in. A small trickle at the most. Evaporates in hours. Pretty happy with it.

Yes, I have it about a month. I wanted a hard, tri-fold cover but didn't want to sink $800-900 in case I decided I didn't like having a bed cover. It's decent quality. I'll take some pictures and post them later this afternoon. It is holding up fine. I did have to fabricate some homemade brackets for the bed rails that it clips into from aluminum. The factory clips had a hard time connecting directly to the bed rails for the first 2 sections. I used one of those ebay 20% discount codes so got if for around $330 shipped. I am very happy with it.
