I am finding conflicting information about the labor used to manufacture the Tacoma. It is safe to assume that the Mexico plant is most likely, unfortunately, not union. Is the plant in Texas?

Toyota did have some UAW sites in Mexico, and the NUMMI plant where Tacomas used to be made was union until GM backed out of the joint operation and the plant shut down (UAW put all the blame on Toyota since they at that point owned a decent stake in GM as part of the bailout).

No idea about the TX plant but I'd guess there's a decent chance they are UAW since the Obama admin went with the B.S. acceleration claims to try to sink Toyota rather than just using the NLRB to shut down their production lines on a trumped-up union grievance.

One can never have too many light bars.
Definitely not union in Texas. Pretty much every foreign car company that has shifted production of vehicles to the US did so to save on shipping costs. If the UAW was involved it would have negated the costs. Its also why all the factories are in the south. I don't want to get political on here but I don't see non union factories to be a bad thing.

I know my 2005 tundra was made in Indiana and it was non union. I also have to say this is my brothers biggest dispute with foreign cars, the non union workers.

I also have to say I belong to the teachers union and without it my employer would have taken advantage of me 5 different times by not honoring my contract.

Even though I have conflicting views regarding organized labor I do know that toyotas reliability is what keeps me coming back. When something does happen it also gets addressed without much hassle

Let the quality of the goods you're purchasing be the deciding factor and remember you get what you pay for

They have a list of all the UAW made vehicles at work if anybody is interested in the full list, the Tacoma is not on it.

    Exactly.
In the case of Tacomas, Toyota has the same quality control in Texas that they do in Mexico.
