Is climate control standard on the '22 TRD-OR 6MT?

When I purchased my bare bones '22 TRD-OR with the manual transmission, I was under the impression it was not going to have dual-zone automatic climate control. But it turns out it does.

Toyota's website still says it's available as part of an options package on the 6MT. I don't have any options or packages though.

Did I get a free upgrade, or is the auto-climate control a standard feature on the 6MT ORs for '22?

I think most all trims were upgraded to dual climate control

My 2022 SR/SX access cab has it. If the "bottom of the barrel" SR has it, I'd imagine they all do.

    Oh look, another mod....
Is having Dual-Zone climate control a huge issue for you?
Do you demand that the passenger in your truck have the exact same temperature as you?

I argued with a few different dealers on this very topic as I was trying to explain what I wanted. They would pull their information straight from the specs, which probably haven't been updated in a few years, and tell me I can't have dual zone climate control without the Premium package in an M/T. I sent one dealer a picture of a truck with it in it and no leather, and they still came back and said the specs say no. Another dealer had a truck on their actual lot with an M/T, dual zone, and no Premium, and they told me I couldn't get it. I gave them the Stock # of the truck and told them to take a walk out onto their own lot and look in the window. I never heard back from them.

Must have become standard in 2021, I thought 2020 was when it became standard equipment. Anyway dual climate control seems like a useless feature on a vehicle where you can't get more than five feet away from the other occupants.

    1. No, I just have it match the driver's side.

Oh no. That dual zone acts as a placebo for my wife for sure. She gets cold, she turns her side up and she is instantly happy. Temperature in the truck never changed but SHE thought it did and that is all that matters.

Not sure how well it works on the tacoma, but on my 2008 335i it works great.

Instead of one door (single zone) that controls the amount of heat for everyone in the vehicle, there are two doors (dual zone) with one for driver side and one for passenger side. Each side can have independent control.

I think all V6's got this in the last year or so. I may be wrong on the timing. I know my base 17 OR has the non auto climate control.
