Has anyone dealt with Beaver Toyota's 20yr/200k warranty? They claim it works out of state but I'm not finding any online version of what it covers and I'm not near the dealer to see what they have on site.

It is listed as No Charge, but never seen one that claims to work outside the dealer location itself.

I don't nothing about this warranty program, but I do know that Linda Beaver is smoking hot! I love her commercials.

sounds too good to be true. Its a limited warranty, which means most things are not covered. Deductible applies to each instance. They are betting you wont have the car that long for it to be useful. I bet they will have disclaimers on most items so they wont have to cover them. They may require you to perform all of your service at the recommended intervals as per the manual, at their garage.

The Beaver Toyota St Augustine 20 Year /200,000 Mile Warranty is standard on all new, untitled vehicles 0-5,000 miles sold at Beaver Toyota St Augustine.

This is a Powertrain Limited Warranty which includes: Engine, Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case, Drive Axle.

Each repair visit has a $100 deductible as well as any costs uncovered by this limited warranty.

This warranty is non-transferable and expires the day the vehicle is traded, sold, declared a total loss, and/or any changes of ownership.

When repairs are required, if possible, return your vehicle to Beaver Toyota Saint Augustine. If you cannot return your vehicle to us, you must telephone FWS at 1-800-327-5172 during normal working hours to receive instructions.

For more information on the 20 Year/200,000 Miles Warranty, please call Beaver Toyota St Augustine at (904) 863-8494.

Toyota does not offer any warranty like that. That is 3rd party at best.

The dealer I bought my Tacoma at has this same program going. It's nice fancy marketing banner on the front of the dealership, and that's it.

I figure it is listed as No Charge (and my deal is for under MSRP) so not a big deal either way, but figured maybe someone here had used it. I'm not too worried about mechanical issues to be honest, and will make the finance conversation pretty funny when they inevitably try to upsell an extended warranty. lol

A Hyundai dealership here used to advertise the same. The plan as I recall was the same. Power train coverage only had a deductible per incident. Had to have proof of maintenance schedule or all claims denied. Not transferable so it ended if you traded or sold it in any way even to family. Mostly a sales tactic to bring you in.

Usually when a dealer offers something like this it’s contingent on all service being done by their own service department.

How do people really try to sell these warranties with such limited information. I'd like to know what the price tag for this is, being that it seems so limited.

There's a local dealership by me that does the same. They say this about warranty locations, and yours may be similar:

When repairs are required, if possible return your vehicle to your dealer. If you can not return your vehicle to your dealer, you must telephone Fortress Warranty Company at 1-800-527-3426 for Claims or 1-800-270-8447 for Roadside assistance.
