I'm in the market for a new jack that will work well in the truck, and around the house. Due to the size and weight of 1.5 ton jacks relative to larger 2 ton + jacks, I am considering a 1.5 ton.

Does anyone know if a 1.5 ton is enough? Or does anyone know a light weight 2 ton option?

I like the pro eagle 1.5 off road setup with the large wheels and ability to mount on the bedrails. But I am open to suggestions.

    Too low capacity.

    I have a 2 ton. It struggles.

I'd like to have a 3 ton with high lift.

1.5 for roadside / trail use? Absolutely. Plus you can make a HF 1.5t jack work with proeagle accessories and mount bedside with a little modification.

1.5 as your main garage jack? Hell nah, 3 ton minimum. HF Low pro long reach for the win.

Jack a single corner to change a tire 1.5-2 will do, but not if you planning to lift the front/rear. Get 3 ton
Look for lift height as well, especially if you have a lifted truck
