Hello, Looking at a '23 Limited for $44,560. 21,527 miles that Carfax values at $46,460. It's Toyota Certified with 21,527 miles. It's a 4x4... Is this a good deal? Any know problems with a Limited? Thank you! Bill

It seems high as 24 and 25 trd trim Tacoma's can be had for around that. I suppose the Toyota certified warranty adds to the price.

The common issues with 3rd gens shouldn't matter since it's under warranty.

    timing cover leak
    rear coolant crossover pipe leak
    power steering rack leak

Overall, 3rd gens are reliable trucks.

It might be in the ballpark or a little high. You’re paying a lot for a limited if you just want the leather and sunroof. You can get leather and sunroof in a TRD Off-Road. You won’t get the chrome that will get you home though. It takes a special kind of buyer to really want the limited Tacoma.

You can get Off Road or Sport with “leather” and a sunroof. Here’s a Sport for $39,900. Where you’re located would help us.

I miss having a Sunroof, not terribly, but do miss it a bit.

Leather, you keep it! It's too pucking hot in the summer, and too phucking cold in the winter.

When I shopping locally for a 3rd Gen, I found a '23 CPO silver Limited DCLB with a nice color matched ARE topper for $43,500ish IIRC. It had 25k miles on it as a point of comparison. Dealer wouldn't give me what I wanted for my trade, so I shopped elsewhere, but it seems that price for the one you found is comparable.
    This was near Tacoma WA

You could add leather seats. Katzkin makes any color/pattern you can think of and they have an option to add heated and ventilated seats.

I paid $44,500 on mine Brand new back in 2023.
It seems a little high for a used one.

Yeah it’s overpriced. With that said if you like it and it looks in showroom condition never had anything hauled in the bed buy it.

Hey Bill, I paid $47k (sticker) for my '23 TRD OR Premium(basically a Limited with all of the TRD OR goodies). Tacoma's do hold their value extremely well but $44,500 seems a little high for a 2 year old truck with 21k miles.

This is why I tinted my windows. Keeps the inside cooler and besides you have remote start, air and heated seats so what else do you want. You live phucking Canada.

It’s a heckuva good time to pay way too much for a used Gen3 right now, which means it’s a great time to sit it out.

You’re asking if paying the same price for a used Limited w 21k mi as what it would’ve cost someone new two years ago is a good deal? Short answer: no, no, no.

Gen3 is a very good truck, but it was a good value only for those who bought it new. If money’s burning a hole in your pocket to get a V6 right now, go drive a new Pro4X (aka Gen three and a half Tacoma..) or even consider paying a lot less on a Gen2 with complete maintenance records.

Boy, I must have been out of the loop on the pricing.
I in Oct 2021 bought my Toyota CPO 2019 TRD ORP 6MT with 21k miles (Leather, Sun roof, heated seats, roof rack and tri-fold cover) for $38k.

The reason was that high because they overvalued my trade in, 2019 4Runner TRD OR basic with 40k miles($36k new) at $37K.
