I want to switch to led turn signals in the front. I already have them for the back but those are 3157 and I tried them in the front and they were hyper-flashing.

So do I need a 4157 led bulb or resistors for the ones I already have?

Hyperflash is caused by low resistance in the circuit. This can be caused by a blown bulb (zero resistance) or an LED bulb (very low resistance.) Most LED bulbs have a low enough resistance to cause hyperflash and thus require a resistor to add some resistance back into the circuit. There are a few LED bulbs out there now that have a high enough resistance value to not cause hyperflash. (VLED's V6 Tritons for instance.) Although adding inline resistors generally solves the hyperflash problem, hacking resistors into a harness can cause all sorts of problems down the road.
