Is 400 peak amps enough to jump start?

I read on here someone who bought the Type S lithium jump starter from Costco. I was going to get the GB40, but this one is half the price. I just picked one up today after a battery mishap I had the other night. Will this be enough to jumpstart my 24F Duralast Gold battery? I don't know anything about amperage or voltage. This is the jump starter. If anyone has suggestions of better portable jump starters for around the same price, I am all ears!

I have a GB70 and wouldn't go with anything less. Then again, I work at a marina and use it quite frequently.

Stick with the GB40. That costco one will likely not work when you need it most. Although you live in a warmer climate, 400 amps seems questionable. Always err on having more than enough juice. I bought this 400w schumaker 2 yrs ago and plan on replacing it for something stronger. I used a few times on my Jeep TJ and friend's truck it worked fine but seems to struggle a bit. I do like the USB ports and light options and carry this unit in my pelican case.

Don't buy a jump box with less CCA (cold cranking amps) than your installed battery! You will regret it!

I have the 3 in 1 harbor freight jumper pack. It can start my truck without any battery. Yes its bigger than a lithium, but if shit really hits the fan .... i can rig it up as a semi permanent solution to drive to where i need to be, due to it being a lead acid battery. You wouldnt want to do that with a lithium pack.

I have been considering a lithium pack as a supplemental for some extra CCA's if necessary though.

Forgive my ignorance.. but would the peak amps be the same as the CCA? I looked on the TypeS website and they don't mention anything about the CCA, just the peak amps. Tested it out on my girlfriend's Camry and it started it right up, granted its not a 4.0 V6 lol.

You can take the peak amps as a comparator as most manufacturers are listing peak amp details these days. ... Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) definition – refers to the number of amps that a battery can push out for 30 seconds at 0° F without dropping under 7.2 Volts. One or the other will be marked on your battery.
How many peak amps do you need to start a car?
400 amps is probably enough to start most small to midsize CARS and the smallest of SUVs and trucks. To start "bigger" vehicles you will probably need the 1000 amp unit. The battery for your car is picked out by the engineers so it's cold cranking amps (CCA) number is bigger than the needed amps to start the engine.
