The MasterCraft tires on my son's Tacoma suck big time; less than a year old and horrible traction on anything but a bone dry surface (and even then they're not great).

I had the master crafts, they are good in mud, thats about it. They absolutely suck in the snow, and wore out in 15k miles.

I've run Ironman MT on my 1st gen.

I felt like they were a good value, offroad traction was great and I never had any punctures even when aired down to 8psi on the rocks. On the road they are loud and not the best in slick conditions but I still got around OK in the snow. Can't comment on life

How long would you say they lasted you? I've looked at other name brands; looking at Kenda Klever RTs too or some Mickey's.

    Go with Linglongs :)

But I had mastercraft snow tires on one of my cars for a number of years, I swear they never actually wore down any.

Flip a coin. Both are private label tires made by cooper. Neither are great, but you get what you pay for.

Dunno. They were used when I got them and I didn't track mileage I got out of em.

Bought a used RAV with Mastercraft tires already in place and unknown mileage.

    Right size, street tire.

Seemed to wear ok tread wise, but they were rough riding and noisy. Was glad to be rid of them.

Personally the only vehicles I'd ever outfit with MTs would be a dedicated farm or trail vehicle. If it's going to the office or the store once in a while, shod it with some quality ATs.

MTs wear quickly and will fail you when you need it most - usually when there's a light drizzle during rush hour.

Good traction off the road might keep me from getting stranded, but good traction on the road keeps me alive.

Keep the cheap MTs for the brush mower. :cookiemonster:
