Front bumper (Self built), Smittybuilt X2O 12,000 lb. winch, Tyger sliders, some sort of aftermarket rear bumper (Came with the truck), Red interior accents, Method 316 17" wheels with Toyo Open Country AT IIIs (33"), EAG grille, Aftermarket roof mounted cargo rack (not sure what brand), aftermarket 1/2 height bed mounted cargo rack (again - not sure what brand) and finally, 3" Ironman stage II suspension lift kit!
Well, after gobs of money (to me anyway) I successfully installed my Ironman 3" suspension lift. The truck handles awesome and now has great trail manners, but I don't see any real height difference at all, in fact I parked next to a stock 3rd gen at work and I could not see any difference in height. What am I missing here?

It could all depend on what extra weight is on your truck and what springs you chose. But you should still have some height. Did you have them jolt the struts? Did you measure before and after?

a tacoma with a 3-inch lift should be night and day difference next to a stock one.

They will definitely settle. Mine sits probably closer to a 2" lift now when it was at 3" after installation.. will be adjusting mine slightly higher to compensate for the added weight of my front bumper and winch that should get here at the end of the month.

Thanks, it seems like a huge truck now... people always comment on it at work.

I also got the +440 leaf's since I'm adding a project m as soon as they finish building it, 16 month lead time down to 11 now.

Second this… when I first lifted mine it felt huge. In every aspect. Getting in and out, standing by it, washing it, driving it. You name it. It felt gigantic. And every truck I’ve ever had has been leveled or lifted. I’ve gotten used to it now but the difference is still very obvious besides a stock Tacoma.

Measure the distance from the center of your hub to the edge of the fender flare. Stock is about 21” in the front and 22” in the rear.

Also post more details about what type of lift you installed. Spacer? Coilover? Blocks? Add a leaf?

    And post some pics.

Second thought on this, (and I keep reading new comments) if you were looking at a stock, did it have fender flares?
Here’s what mine looked like before and after the Ironman Lift. Can you measure the threads under the collar nuts? This is not accurate but will give a decent idea of what might be going on.
The Ironman Lift is a full suspension lift, adjustable coils upfront, they use oem style top hat, shocks and new leaf packs. I can’t see how he would not show lift unless they were not adjusted for it.

Did you have the front coils prebuilt or do it yourself?

Personal knowledge of the lift, the coils are either spring rates of 720# or 826#…. They are go big or go home

I should say, I know what the lift offers, not what the OP selected for his.

They're definitely big and heavy and in case you didn't notice them they're bright green.

My one regret is not powder coating black.

Very true. I’ve got the larger on my truck now and have a set of the 720# ready to instal this weekend. I’ll tell you I had considered painting them but the green looks good with my black truck.
