I recently got an iPhone 6, and I have setup the Bluetooth on my truck, but I can't get my truck to answer my calls with the hands free. It worked perfect with my iPhone 5, but not my iPhone 6. What am I missing here?
    Thanks,

delete it and do it again, mine worked within 1 min, also make sure "Show Notifications" is on. I have a 6 too. It might be connected to another BT device - check that as well. Or maybe it's still looking for the old phone...

I have an Iphone 6 plus and I am not able to connect it to my 2012 Tacoma. The Iphone 5 connected without a problem. Any suggestions?

Has anyone noticed that if your iPhone 6 plus is 98-100% charged it will connect then immediately disconnect when connected via USB. The only way around this is to turn the truck off and reconnect once the charge level is below 98%.

Wife has a 6 and it worked first time paired. However in her CX9 it took 3 times. Third time I shut the CX9 off and same with phone. Once I restarted the phone, it worked like a charm.

it needs to be paired as a phone, not a bluetooth device. I ran into this when I got my iphone 6. I didnt find out untill I tried to make a call down the road. Re-pair as a Phone.

***Read Update from 11-3-2105 below original comments:

Solved! Thank you Sten!! My iPone 5s paired quickly and correctly every time in my 2014 Tacoma. Also, charging and playing via USB worked correctly every time and did not interfere with Bluetooth phone connectivity. Then, I upgraded to the iPhone 6s and immediately had issues charging and playing via USB. I searched the interwebs and found many false leads. Frustration mounted. Then I found Sten's post and I can now go back to loving Toyota and Apple. So, as Sten tells us: Un-pair "Bluetooth Audio" and Re-pair as "Phone." Connect your cable and viola! Thanks again Sten!!!

***UPDATE: Sorry to say, this fix failed after working for two days. I thought it would work with a one time setting, but it became a PITA requiring phone and truck restarts every time I wanted to charge my phone. Eventually, no restart-reboot-forget device routine would work.

I ended up calling Toyota Tech support. They had me read off my trucks Entune firmware version to them. They told me it was out of date and to make an appointment with Toyota Service for an update. They also mentioned that I was still under warranty so the update would be free (what? they'd charge for this?)

Two weeks later, I spent two hours at the dealership while they worked on it. (Yes, they actually worked for two hours. Windows 10 upgrades are faster.) It now charges my phone and I can play audio via the USB cable which has better sound bandwidth than Bluetooth. Bluetooth phone calls work as expected and no restart routine is required to keep everything working. I can still hear Apple's turn by turn mapping instructions as well; however, I lost the ability to hear text messages transcriptions, which I really liked.

Takeaways: By far, Toyota's Entune system has been the best stock in-car Bluetooth phone-radio interface I've experienced. I have experienced late model Ford, GM, Audi and Subaru systems (Subaru being the absolute worst - which was a shocker to me.) I don't expect perfection, so Entune is working for me fairly well. The biggest shock was that it took them two hours, and they in fact charge for "simple" firmware updates when out of warranty. Unless you want to spend the time hacking your own firmware, you'll be stuck with a Toyota Service appointment. Toyota will not mail you a USB stick as some people have talked about, and there is no official Toyota Entunes firmware download site. Before going through Toyota, I tried the unofficial downloads, but my system would not recognize the files.

I hope the notes from my experience helps someone. Let me know if you have any questions.

Now working - iPhone 6s with 2014 Toyota Entune Plus system
