Sup dudes, I'm new here, just bought an 07' TRD-OR a few months back. I live in Seattle but I travel all over the western US chasing fish on flies. Anyways, I love this truck, it's been super awesome so far, but one thing is driving me nuts...

The rear end sags bad, a full 2" lower than the front most of the time depending on how much stuff I have in the back. The pictures below kind of tell the story. It has a canopy, and I always have some gear back there like roadside emergency type stuff and some tools, and it visibly sags. I also tow my drift boat sometimes but it isn't that heavy, the tongue weight is probably 50-100 lb. It just doesn't seem like that's enough weight that should make a pickup truck lean like that.

I've read a bunch of the threads on here about this, but I thought maybe my situation is a bit unique since the truck is already lifted. It has the 3" Revtek lift with the blocks in the back. Best case scenario I would just buy the All Pro excursion springs and ditch the blocks, but those are kind of expensive. Any other decent options that will maintain the lift and stop the sag? I don't really want to do the airbag thing since I drive it every day and it sags every day, so that feels like a bandaid on a permanent problem. A 3" add-a-leaf on springs that are already apparently worn out probably isn't going to really fix it either is it?? Curious what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

This is the day I bought it. No sag, but there also wasn't anything in the back other than the canopy.

This is the next day with my boat hooked up. Sagging a little bit.

Kind of hard to tell here because of that tree but it's the best pic I had on my phone. This is what it looks like pretty much every day with maybe 100 lbs of stuff in the bed. Sagging like crazy, what gives?!

Currently some people in here are having issues with the AP Expos. For the price the Dakar 96's should do well for you. Could also go Deaver but $$$.

Alright there seems to be a consensus, thanks. So where is the best place to buy those? Anyone offer free shipping? I was looking at the All Pro ones and it was like $150 extra just to ship.

I have the same issue with my truck. After I added a cap I noticed a annoying rear sag.
I added some Hellwig helper springs to the stock leafs as I didn't want to lift the truck. It raised the rear higher than stock.
The other night I had 1000# of wood pelletsin the bed. I measured my hitch height and only had 3" of sag.

Can you explain these problems with the allprooffroad? I've got a shell had a saggy ass with the aal so I upgraded too the expo pack and timbern bump stops. When I added the new leaf pack I added 3degree shims and dropped the cb 1/3" everything is perfect now. Axle didn't move and I have no vibes.

I really wish people had posted their issues with Allpro expo leafs so more people could find them.... I bought the expos and put them on a set of archive garage shackle flip with a 5" shackle. First wheeling trip I snapped the main leaf. I think that they're too thin.

I've read numerous complaints of them sagging in a very short period of time. That's why I chose OME Dakars. All Pro has a location just a couple hours south of me. I really wanted to go with them, but I read too many complaints. There were a bunch of complaints about excessive rust too. Maybe it was a batch of bad steel, who knows. I wasn't going to risk it.

No personal experience myself with AP leaf packs, I was considering the expos and ended up purchasing Dakars 96's. They're doing as advertised. I mounted them with ~400lbs constant and have 1 1/2" of rake with no vibes and no shims or CB drop. Loaded out I lose about 1/2" and considering the AAl depending on any additional settling. I do like a little rake.
@Yota_Explorer I'm excited for you to have the Expos dialed in and performing for you. From my research on this forum there are many happy campers with AP leaf packs. But... apparently recently there have been some not so happy AP customers. My comment was in reference to this thread. If you have the time read in its entirety I think you wil see why I stated what I did.
@Thyces yes, the leafs are thinner but there are more of them versus Dakars which are individually thicker. That's supposed to be the beauty with AP's for the ride quality.

    Welcome to TW, OP!

I echo the recommendations already made. If you want to do additional research before pulling the trigger, however, recommend you spend some time in the Suspension forum. A couple of the threads I found most useful are the Tacoma Lift FAQ/Guide and Suspension Lift Info stickies.

I dont have a cap but do have the Helwig helpers. Several times have loaded 1000lbs + and at worse the truck just leveled off, no sag. Easy cheap help.

So many people having problems with the AP expos... I love mine. I've had my truck loaded several times with over 1000lbs and still had very minimal sag. I love the way they flex and even completely unloaded they aren't to stiff. These springs and most others are not designed for a shackle flip which I see people doing all the time with poor results. All pro even mentions that you will void the warranty on them if you use them in conjunction with a shackle flip. If you want extra load carrying capacity I recommend them. I keep seeing people complain more than anything about the standards and then they add a couple hundred pounds in the bed and experience sag. The standards are not designed to carry extra weight, just add lift and nice flex. The dakars are also a very nice option for extra weight but they will ride a little stiffer due to their thicker springs. For extra weight and a good ride I vote for the so e xpos. Just my 2 cents though.

From my experience with customers, the All Pro Standards pack are very poor, and I have direct reports of warranty issues (before any shackle flip). They do not hold 3" on the popular double cab trucks at stock weight, and anyone with them that currently have issues, please take the issue back to All Pro so they can improve them. The All Pro Expo packs have been decent for my shackle flip customers, except for @Thyces who posted above, I feel it was an isolated issue and a bad leaf, maybe too little or too much temper, he did everything right otherwise, spaced his bumps so the springs didn't even go negative.

Be careful going in for a cheap option, as you get what you pay for.

The Dakars have had recent revision, indicating to me that ARB/OME are committed to quality and improvement, so I like that.

Deavers are great quality and have decades under their belt making high performing springs, and that is what I sell. They also can make you custom springs.

    Eric
