Today I replaced my 7 year old optima battery. Although it still had life left in it 610/800 CCA I thought it was time and didn’t want to be stranded. I chose an Interstate MTX-24F AGM battery as its replacement. Anyone else running this battery? It’s designed for modern vehicles with all the bells and whistles and start/stop technology. So it should last me a long time as I won’t be putting a big load on it. Also one other benefit most seem not to know is that AGM batteries don’t vent so your cables never get corroded. I still spray anti corrosion stuff on the cable ends to keep everything clean.

I’ve got an Interstate Mega-Tron, installed in either 2014 or 2015, and I love it!

Looks good, I usually run Interstate batteries and I've never had a short in warranty failure.

I replaced my battery with an Interstate battery a couple of years back. It has worked out fine. Sorry, I don't know the model.

I haven’t used the Interstate AGM batteries, but am interested in how it works in your Tacoma.

Coincidently, I had my first Interstate warranty failure last week. Covered 45%, 2 days short of 36 months. Yay.

I've used two and have been happy with them.

Interstate has gone downhill in my opinion. We had a few duds where I used to work within a year.

My future batteries will be the Everstart Maxx from Wal-Mart. Good warranty, cheap, consistently outperforms more expensive batteries and with walmart's all over the place warranty issues shouldn't be a concern.

That's not good to hear about Interstate man. That you've had multiple fail early sucks. They've been my go to, great bang for the buck battery

Keep in mind there are very few actual battery manufacturers. Most are made by the same company and just rebranded.

I have only owned one Interstate battery and i will never own another it was not an AGM though. It went bad shortly after the warranty expired and i bought a ever start because i had several friends recommend them and i haven't had any problems out of it. One friend worked at walmart changing oil/tires/batteries and he said most of the batteries he replaced were Interstates and they always died early by looking at the date on the battery.

Right now all of my toyotas have the batteries in them that came in them and they are all Rural King batteries. I have had them for over 3 years and they looked old when i bought them but they just keep going.

Longest battery i ever had was a Optima i bought in 1998 when they were still made in the USA and it lasted 10 years until i sold the jeep it was in so not sure how longer it kept going. Optima now is reportedly junk now and i would never consider buying another.

I just installed this in my 13 PreRunner in Tucson today. Normally I only get about 2 years out of a standard battery in AZ, but the sales guy at interstate was telling me I should be able to get at least double that with the AGM option. Not sure if it’s true, but it seems to have a longer warranty, so there’s that…

I buy my Interstates at a walk-in warehouse locally. Never had an issue with them. The last one I got was a few years ago and it's rarely used but I monitor it on the battery tender. Hasn't failed yet.

Are interstates still made in the USA? I was at costco a few years ago and it looks like they are all imported now.
