Internal amp watts for factory stereo?

    2011 access cab factory stereo.
    anyone know what the internal amp watts are on the factory . I am looking at the alpine
    cde- 172bt for a small upgrade for my sons truck. would this be clearer and louder on the upper side of audio. we have just install two 6.5 inch subwolfers and want he wants to get better sound quality

    • built-in CTA-2006 compliant MOSFET amplifier (18 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels) the stereo that im looking at has this rating would this help with the sound on the non sub woofer side. take in to account that i am not very knowledgeable with stereos.

    Aftermarket radios will give you a very noticeable increase in volume and clarity. nothing like an aftermarket amp, but significantly better than the factory.
