I'm looking for advice. GF seems to prefer her feet to be touching any part of my truck OTHER than the floor, this includes the door trim next to the window regulator, which now has some super sweet scuffs in it. Any recommendations on how to remove without replacing the entire piece?

Have tried Meguiar's Plast X and Swirl X products to no avail.

Textured plastic panels, not much you can do with that. Short of replacing them, could try refinishing the panel. Some parts stores carry interior spray paint.
Plastic is going to show wear and tear pretty quick unfortunately.

    Take care Bill

A heat gun will turn the white in the scuff back to the full color, go low heat and lightly. If you over cook it you will create a shiny spot.

You can easily heal textured plastic if it is abs, see my post above.

Yeah, it's painted. $384 for parts. FML

I guess I should expect some wear at such high mileage (3500....)

Sounds like it's time to take someone out behind the woodshed.... jk... I guess?

Edit: it seems like interior plastic scuffs and scratches easier then it used to, it's a pain.

Ah must be a newer relationship. I've been in my relationship for 11 years and I'd simply say get your GD feet off my truck. Lol speak up!

I've seen someone on here use some kind of plastic wrap on the dash trim.
they didn't like the orange color and changed it to a carbon fiber look.
maybe you can use something like that

Not a case of biting my tongue for sure, I mentioned it to her when she had her feet up there, but the damage was already done.

Haha. It's definitely not as robust as in the older vehicles, but I think that's just the trend with newer/lighter weight/cheaper materials.

Couple weeks ago went kayaking with the gf, as I'm unstrapping yaks from the rack she takes the paddles out and leans em against the side of the bed. I said please don't do that I don't want to scratch it (black paint). She got on her huffy bike about how I'm being ridiculous and I'm standing there like :jerkoff:

Mine complied, but had a similar response. Her car looks like a full on yard sale so I'd be truly shocked if she even noticed she did this. Priorities I guess.
