I noticed today that one of my kiddos somehow scratched the plastic door panel near the speaker. The scratch appears to be white, but does not wipe off. It seems like the plastic is somehow peeled. Any thoughts on the best way to fix this? Touch-up pen? Sharpie? Magic pixie dust?

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
In the nicest way you have to learn to live with it happening all the time. It just what the trim does. I like to think of it as the truck’s patina. My highlander trim is exactly the same.

Don't feel bad this is what my door panel looks like, oh there's no good way to repair it.

The only thing that I've really found to work is a good heat gun. Be very careful/watch videos online of interior plastic heat gun repair. Wrote about my experience here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...r-panel-scratch-removal.789318/#post-28566208

If you have an automatic, I'd pull the door panel to prevent damaging the JBL speaker. If you have a stick, I'd pull the door panel and then replace the speaker. :D

It’s from your kiddos shoes. I have the exact same thing on the drivers door from the toe of my boots rubbing it when I get out. You can use some interior trim cleaner and shiner and it knocks it down a bit but does not go away. Just have to get use to it.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Wait until you see what water bottles do to the door.

Yea this kinda stuff shows up from time to time in mine as well.
Not that concerned about it I mean it's not like I'm picking up Kim Kardashian for a date anyway.

I'd rather have my dog with me than her anyhow.

It's a truck. It will have battle scars. Honor it.

You better get used to it, the 3rd Gen interior panels scratch if you look at them wrong.

It’s impossible to avoid in these trucks. A complaint of mine too, albeit a small one. I’ve never seen an interior so susceptible to scratches. Just get it out of your head and move on. That’s all you can do. I think the fabric in jeans is enough to scratch the hell out of where your left knee touches the panel.

I use some black shoe cream dye in a few spots. Put some on a q tip and when it dries its gone. Then some 303 for a nice satin sheen and its gone.

I was about to make a similar post, then I decided to do a search and wasn't surprised that others noted similar experiences. I thought the plastics on my last Nissan Titan scratched easily but my 6 month old truck looks almost lived in as the 11 year old truck it replaced.

What's funny is the plastic on my gauges still look fine and I've wiped it down with a microfiber cloth a handful of times.
