I'd like to get some ideas see some pictures of interior upgrades especially for an extended cab. I was thinking of a Momo wheel and recarros. I saw a pic of a different brand of seats but they didn't seem to go well with the plastic and center console. Maybe something like this.

    Kidding

I did a black leather IS300 wheel+Rav4 airbag, black 4Runner column trim, new Sony headunit, and a bucket seat+console swap from a double cab. Different enough to be set apart from other 1st gens, but not outlandish enough for me to have to undo when I sell the truck someday. Also looks 100% oem, cause it basically is, just off other Toyotas.

With that wheel you'll always have an airbag light on. The IS300 wheel is a 3 spoke, black leather wrapped wheel thats similar and allows you to use a plug and play cruise control and airbag (2001-2004 tacos only).

Just take the bulb out from behind the airbag light.

Not to be a smartass, but you really should keep the airbag. Aftermarket steering wheels are significantly unsafe. They’ll snap in half during an accident not to mention your head smashing into the steering column.

The IS300 wheel swap is a good alternative to retain it.
