Hi all. I have just purchased a 2021 Intech Flyer Discover camp trailer/toy hauler. All the lights were working perfectly on the sellers F350 but when I plug the 7 pin plug into me 2015 Tacoma the lights go all squirrelly. I’ve checked all the fuses and wired a new plug to the trailer and still the same result. The Tacoma 7 pin round to 4 pin adaptor set up works perfectly for my current quad/atv trailer. What am I missing.
Cheers in advance for any help!

You can probably save yourself alot of trouble shooting, Amazon sells a hitch plug tester for around 10-15 bucks. Itll save you alot of hassle if you aren't handy with a multimeter. You could also try the 7pin to 4 pin adapter but it won't charge your camper battery or operate your brakes.

What do you mean by Squirly? What exactly is happening?

Did you just replace the 7-pin plug on the trailer or did you replace the entire plug and cable back to the junction box?

I would check the pinout on the trailer harness/junction box and the pinout on your truck. I have had situations with borrowed and used trailers where the trailer pinout did not match the truck. One time the blinker and brake wire were switched so every time I used the blinker the brakes activated with the blinker light.

We used a tester on all the pins and every fuse and all are working properly. Cool gadget. My bro had one. Cheers.

We checked everything on the truck side including the 7 pin trailer receptacle on the truck. And replaced the plug on the trailer.
Running lights don’t work and only one break light left signal is right signal but not vice versa. It would great on domestic trucks. Just not the Taco. I’ll try the 7 to 4 pin adapter as that’s what works on my other trailer and the new trailer is small so doesn’t have breaks. Cheers for the advice!

I have an intech and as far as I can tell it has the standard 7 pin config. It works the same on my tacoma as it did with my wrangler with the Mopar 7 pin wiring harness. Here is the wiring diagram for my intech luna. I would assume the pin out in the upper right should be consistent
