Hey y'all I'm about to install a set of SumoSprings and have a quick question.

My driveway isn't flat and the truck will be facing downhill a little bit not much maybe 5-10 degree slope.

When I loosen the u-bolt bolts the axle won't end up moving around on me because I'm not on a flat surface right? Like there is a pin or something on the axle that the leaf pack sits on holding it in place right? Just want to make sure I'm ok to do it in my sloped driveway if not I'll have to find somewhere that's perfectly level

There is a pin/bolt holding the leaf springs together.

Ok cool, then that pin sits on the axle holding it from moving right? Just don't want the leaf pack to move on the axle after I loosen it on my sloped driveway. Thank you

Yes the pin gos into the axel leaf spring mount. The pin may come out. Not sure if you have to (are) removing the U bolts to install the Sumo’s.

Ok thank you I should be fine then. Don't have to remove the ubolts just loosen them in order to free the stock bump stop and slide the sumo in then tighten it back up

Chock your front wheels and you should be good. I also put it in 4H before turning it off. Not sure if that helps, but I felt like it should.

all you do is loosen the U-bolts and slide the old stops out and install the new SS's, it took me 10 minutes a side.

Same here. I just did one side at a time and it was fine. Just be sure to chock the wheels.

I had a break in the rain yesterday and was setting up to install them then realized I didn't have a 19mm deep socket in 5/8 drive for my torque wrench. My impact is in 1/2 drive so I'm glad I checked before I started haha
