I ordered two new weather strips for the front doors of my 2014 Tacoma.
I know there are other fixes.
I'm just wondering if anyone has installed these. And if you have, did you need to use 3m tape or adhesion promoter?

    Thanks!

I recently replaced both fronts with the updated version. The new weatherstrips came with preinstalled 3M adhesive in the needed areas. Note: Don't forcefully remove the old plastic clips, it may deform the clip holes in the door. Instead, release the locking mechanism before removing it. When you receive your new weatherstrip, look at the new clips. It will be evident as to how you release the locking mechanism.

Thanks for the info. Is it any quieter now? Is there adhesive on the entire gasket, or just the corners?

Yes, the buzzing is gone. Adhesive is just on the corners.

The new TSB weather strips are super easy to put on I feel like the clips were even numbered/color coded or something so you can’t mess it up. And they 100% work at stopping the kazoo noise.
