Also had some other dents and dings, including damage from being t-boned by a young spikehorn whitetail on my way home from work early one morning repaired. The shop also swapped out my old headlights, replaced the antenna that got broken off in a carwash since they removed the flares to paint em, replaced an inner door seal that was torn up, replaced the chrome finish badges with black, and replaced and repainted the gas filler door that had a broken hinge. Had them do all that for convenience sake while they had the truck. I provided the parts, they did the work for next to nothing! After I got her home, I replaced the fogs and taillights to match the new black headlights and added the hood bug deflector

Thanks! The whole package including all the things I mentioned in the reply above was $2501 and some change, out the door. Not too cheap, but compared to a couple other quotes I got I thought it was reasonable. She's still going strong and she's a keeper!

    I totally know that problem.

Technically mine is actually color matched to the original Indigo Ink Pearl color formula, just in tinted bedliner with no texture grit, with a tiny bit of the red taken out (to subdue the purple tinge) and with 4x more pearl added so it does have that prismatic transition in the sun. Roof and hood were worn down to rusted metal (and I live in dry AZ) and had to be completely taken down to metal and have a thick polyester primer laid down.

I have the same issue and want to rattle can now for a short term fix on my 07 indigo ink. Did you do duplicolor / 2K clear combo?

Yes, that is what I used. It is a short term fix, and will probably do a wrap in the near future.

Hummm....I used the gray paint for the roof and some on the hood, due to having a bunch of cans that was intended to paint my wheels. To the best of my knowledge you will need 4 cans of primer, and about 8 cans of the Dupli color, maybe one extra. I know it was about $150 bucks in paint! The Dupli color cans are not that big and take a few coats to cover fully the blue.

If you don't take it down to the metal and just scuff it up you can probably get away with just 4 cans!
