Idler Pulley on Supercharger

    1998 White Tacoma TRD Supercharger
    Please help!

    My brother in California had a 1998 Tacoma TRD with a supercharger that was his baby for many years. A couple years ago he finally parted with it to get a 4Runner, and shipped the truck to me in upstate NY. My son has been using the truck commuting to college and we noticed a noise when the truck was really cold. It’s been around 10-30 degrees here the last couple of weeks. It goes away when the truck warms up. I work at a suspension shop and my mechanic took a look at it and told me it was the idler pulley on the supercharger that is causing the noise. Unfortunately it’s been discontinued.

    Has anyone had to replace this recently and if so, could you give me a brand and/or part number that would work?

    If you have the old style you should update it.
    If its the newer style you can just get a new tensioner with the pulley

    I got the new pulley in, and it was just installed by my mechanic. I can't thank you enough. My son is leaving in a couple days to go to college and you really helped me out. Can I pick your brain one more time? Do you know what type of oil the supercharger takes?
