So we have done a few of these now but this was one of the first we did where we had time to get photos and Video.

For over a year we have access to the CDEV technology but early in 2021 we actually got to play with the app and with a vehicle outfitted with them. And we have been impressed.

The adaptive system is the key that we were blown away by. Basically works with the GPS and can remember and adjust without any input from the operator. But simply being able to adjust from inside your vehicle and adjust on many different inputs is another over the top feature.

The shocks basically install like a normal Icon stage 5 or higher kit. But you have to add the “brain” and of course wire from the brain to each shock. This typically will add about 1-2 hrs on the install on average for most. All harnesses are labeled and easy to route to the shocks . Mounting of the brain is very simple and easy.

With a good handful of these out so far the feedback has been impressive.

we currently have these on our website but have yet to pair up with UCA and leafs for completing a full package. But one could add a UCA or leaf of choice to the cart from our selection . Hit us up if you’re interested and or need help.

Be sure to check our FB , Tic Tok and Insta for more photos and videos.

I watched the Expedition Overland Alaska series and they spoke highly of this system. My gut tells me that it’s out of my budget unless I sell a kidney :D

Wondering how this setup would work on the rear with icon RTX on rear and towing.

so wh had installed with Rxt . The control has a tow mode. Ultimately your able to adjust way more than ever possible when your towing or not . You have the capability to adjust the base settings for roll compensation, then from there the intelligence control takes over .

for sure adds another level to performance for all around use. Allows you to preset you towing base settings as well.

As of Sept/Oct timeframe IOS was the only app version available. Icon website said they were launching the android app in late 2021. Did this happen?

Yes, there’s always advantages and disadvantages on everything. This is just one of the pluses.

Awesome technology for sure...but I'm wondering why anyone would spend $4000+ on a pair of these for 1" extra travel when you could go full LT and get a lot more travel for a little more money.

I think it really depends on the use of the truck. Not everyone is interested in long travel but want the best suspension possible. I’m an example of that.

So I wonder if these still have the ride characteristics of digressive suspension since there regular shocks are digressive valved?

Very good point but LT is going to run alot more .

Because you can spend 5k on LT and not get this level of performance and you'll only have the front done . Have you seen our Tacoma ?? We dubed it the LT killer. Why? Well cause 90% of those who go LT don't spend all the money to do it right. We built the business off of only doing LT builds originally . So when we many just do LT and coil over many times you can get better performance in other avenues. Yes the LT with a coil over is a good start but you'll need to add a secondary to actually make it . typically your in $13-15K just parts.

Our RAM TRX has this type of technology and that thing is better than most vehicle we have been in that are LT and have more travel. Travel is nothing without control!

Yes , The issue is is most the time we see icons in from out side we see that they are over compensated with height that drastically effects the ride quality. We have had a few customers go from Icon to king or fox and go back to icon. But in the end ride is preference. Its like hamburgers who makes the best? What i like you may not .

So as a dealer for FOX, KING, ICON, Radflo, Bilstein, Eibach, ARB, ADS and more Icon has the highest customer satisfaction and best service ( at least from us ) so easy to deal with. Since 2016. At one point I did drop icon back in about 2013 or maybe sooner and yes due to customer service, but that was me and the customer being difficult . But over the years we have had great results and service. Now yes you get a guy with a leaky shock but that is less than .5% of our sales in icon. We have had more Fox , King & Bilstein leaks than Icon. But the crazy part is you don't hear about. I mean we have had some crazy issues with "every brand". But it seems as most that get icon seem to talk about it way more than others when they have a issue. As for service we have never had a issue to get warranty or service from Icon.

Now Im saying this and right now know that Im not happy with Icon but that has nothing to do with service or product.
