Please don't bash me too hard, I'm not mechanically inclined, and come from the Jeep world.

I have a 2022 Tacoma TRD OR, and recently added the Icon Stage 4 Suspension, with an AAL. I expected this kit would level the truck out, and add 2-3 inches of lift.

I had it installed last weekend, and it rides great. The truck is leveled, and the suspension looks sick. Problem is, after measurements, I only got about 0.5" of lift. The installer says it has been adjusted to maximum height, and recommended I scrap it, and buy something else. I'm not doing that.

What's the problem? I think the installer didn't adjust it at all, and just doesn't want to put the extra work in. How do I verify that? If it is max height, how can I add another 1-2 inches of lift?

I know I can add blocks to the rear, but I don't want the truck to rake. I'm frustrated.

Can you post pics of your coilovers, something like this (best you can)

In all likelihood, your installer didn’t adjust the coilovers at all. That being said, they usually come from Icon at their recommended height for ride quality and travel. Using the picture that @ToyoTaco25 posted above, you’ll want to check the exposed thread above this collar.
    641CAE42-3232-4D77-B9FD-EFE3E796C27C.jpg

In his example, it’s likely been adjusted a little so yours might show less threads above the collar. If you turn that collar, you can add preload and adjust height. I will also warn you that what this is doing is compressing the spring to achieve the lift you want which in turn will stiffen the ride noticeably the more you adjust it. 95% of the time this adjustment can be done without removing the shock from the truck but you need the right tool(s).

I am seeing a lot more lift than .5" in that picture, and I have done a lot of tacoma installs.

Stock Center of hub to fender is 21" front and rear is 22" Go measure and report back.

The front does look pretty level with the rear.

Here is a pic….I’ll measure tomorrow. I was in the garage with them and didn’t see them adjust anything.

I ran this kit for 2 years. Icon says not to preload past 2.13 inches of exposed threads. Your coils look close to that number

I agree with JFriday, that truck looks like it's been lifted. What was on it before the Icon kit was installed?

Truck looks great to me. If it rides good, you’re all set.

The truck looks lifted, there's no way that's only .5 inch.

thats approx 1-2 inch of lift.

but too much lift is bad. Lift means less down travel. If you don't offroad disregard
Since you have money, buy bigger tires (255/85r16 or you don't want to cmc)

I had the same kit at one point (I think mine was stage 5) and I think I had around 2-2.5” of lift.

You sure that’s only 0.5” of lift?

Lucky for her, I mean you, the measurings off. That’s looking like 2” +. Confirm with the old tape measurer, and don’t fluff for extra points

Rear measured at 22.5" front is at 21.5". I wish it wasn't true, but it is.

It'll only go downhill from there, as I plan to do a winch with the BA4X4 Slimline bumper. So which way do I need to crank that thing to get another inch in front?

I do offroad. Well, I hope to. My last vehicle was a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, on 35s. Was hoping this Icon could get me on 33s.

Stock. I can tell it is lifted a little, just by getting in it, but definitely not 2".

You're still going to need a CMC/relocate to get that to work with no rubbing. How many inches of exposed threads are you at?
