Alright guys I ordered the Icon 3 Leaf add a leaf and was wondering how many of you guys left the over load spring in? I have a 2018 TRD off road access cab with an ARE topper and a sleeping platform built in the bed. I’m wondering if its a good idea to keep the over load spring in to help with the added weight of the camping gear that i take with me. If anyone has done it how much lift did you get by leaving it in? Or is just the add a leaf enough for the lift and to support the weight? Thanks for any info

Yes leave it in as it will give you 2 inches of lift and with a little sag you will still be fine.

Yes, with the weight your running you’ll be glad you did.
But...it’s only a matter of time. You’ll eventually be shopping for a complete pack. Sorry, just the facts.

Yeah i know just trying to keep it budget at moment. I’m going to be running the falcon shocks and they are 1.25” longer in the rear than the stock shocks but i think its better going with an even longer travel rear shock with a new leaf pack.

I'm new to trucks. Only had my Tacoma for ~18mon and really only owned sport compacts previously. I installed a 3-leaf AAL yesterday with the overload left in. I did a lot of research and reading beforehand and kept seeing that these AAL's were "designed to be used with the overload left out". I didn't really have any context to that until I did the install. Now, after seeing how all the leafs interact once weighted I understand much better and agree with the quoted statement above.

I plan to keep mine as-is for now and I don't think I'll have complaints but we'll see after next week's offroading/camping trip. But, I'll also be keeping my eye out for a good deal on a full leaf pack as it's pretty obvious to me now that the performance will be much better.

I’m going through same issues on my 2020 pro Tacoma. I have westcott designs from lift and 1.5 icon add a leaf with overload springs removed, my truck has a bit Of a sagged look.

do you guys know if icon rxt option 1 is ok with stock pro suspension travel?

    thanks

What are your measurements from center hub to bottom fender edge?

I have same setup and in pics it sometimes looks saggy and sometimes not. I figure it’s the angle of the picture b/c I’m within 1/8” variance all around.

    Also I found this, https://youtu.be/IWWpr_tJ4vU

You can measure that to make sure the collar is properly seated. Mine appears to be.
