Hello. I was hoping someone can tell me what’s going on.

I don’t noticing my truck running hot.
I have an 09 with about 147k miles.
I’ve never had a tranny flush.
The water pump was replaced about 2 years ago.

I had seen small amounts of this in the past but nothing like this.

    Thanks for the help.

I've never seen the pink milkshake, but I've seen chocolate milk- green coolant and oil. That was from a cracked head on a work van. Hope that's not the case here.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That is just the coolant overflow. It does look a little high. How is the level in the radiator? Is you cap working properly? It just might be that the hose needs replaced.

Hose is split. Engine gets warm, builds pressure, excess coolant flows to bottle, gets to split in hose and runs down outside of bottle. Do it enough and it builds up

    Too few to list.
Try cleaning it first to see if it comes back. Rubber piece gets worn out and have coolant seeping out. When cold, take off radiator cap to see if there’s any sediments or oil trace.

Just looks like you need a new hose, the one attached to the reservoir where the coolant is leaking out of. Doesn't look like a milkshake to me, the coolant in the reservoir looks normal and the stuff on the outside just looks crusty from drying up

Hard to say from those photos, just looks like overflowed as noted above. How does the ATF fluid look?
    This is pink milkshake.

Looks like a little coolant leaking from somewhere, shouldn't be a big issue.

I wouldn't touch the transmission. If you change it, it'll either die on you within 5000 miles, or it won't hurt it at all. But it won't help anything.

    Its this.

"Pink milkshake" plagued 1st gen tacos / 3rd gen 4 runners wherein transmission fluid and coolant mixed within the rad.

What you are seeing is just due to likely a crack in the coolant overflow tank or a split hose.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Pink milkshake is in the trans, not the radiator.

BTW, at 147k miles, I'd get your trans fluid changed...

Pink Milkshake was when the trans fluid cooler IN the radiator erroded and sprung a leak, mixing trans fluid and coolant.... so yes pink milkshake is 100% in the radiator. But that was a 1st gen taco 3rd gen 4 runner.

I agree with @StAndrew. I'd service the tranny. I did mine at 130000 and I thought that was late. Fluid was brownish and prior owner never serviced it. Correct way is to drop pan, clean magnets and pan, replace filter and gasket, refill, THEN consider flushing. Otherwise debris gets into the valve body. @gearcruncher has excellent writeups on this. He has helped several members who did not do this and flushed first. When you flush first is when you damage the tranny.

Yep. In some of my other clubs, we called them SMOD for the Strawberry Milkshake of Death caused by failing radiator trans cooler fittings.

Def a loose hose. There's also no clamp on the hose and there should be.
