That DD about robinhood you guys have been mentioning seems real fabricated. Barely any of the accounts in the comments have the custom avitars, generic comments if you reread, lots of karma (good $ for account) and not many posts in the sub on a couple i checked. Sketchy if you look at it skeptically

 

There was literally a congressional hearing on it today about how bad they fucked up lol

Oh, and the account I'm currently using right now on Reddit is less than 4 months old, has no avatar, and a bunch of generic comments in many different subs

I get what you're saying. We all should have transferred in January, but a lot of us didn't. We're kind of at crunch time now though.

Do you stay in RH and wait for them to have a mysterious app error right when you need to sell?

Or do you suck it up and start the transfer now, hoping that the squeeze is at least a week away.

With how much attention tomorrow is getting I would’ve at least waited until after the weekend to do a transfer in case tomorrow does come to fruition

Been seeing lots of people saying it may take multiple days to even peak if MOASS really does kick off.

 

Not super worried about tomorrow. I'm thinking flat day or maybe up a few bucks.

The squeeze, when it is squotheth, will take several days at a minimum anyways. There's gonna be big fights once it gets into the $1000's per share.

You think these $50 swings are fun? Wait till we see it go up and down $10k or more in a swing

Has DTCC clarified elsewhere that repealing the monthly disclosure requirement means daily disclosure?

Reading their SEC submission, they explicitly repeal the monthly requirement and specify that is pursuant to implementation of the subsequent rule which requires "periodic" disclosure --but nothing about there being a hard timeline.

Was there previously a daily disclosure rule put into place and the conflicting monthly disclosure rule is simply being removed?

 

I know we talked about this. But, when I did my transfer - It was "in process" on fidelity for about 5 days and on RH the money was still in shares. One morning, all my shares and money were moved to fidelity instantly.

Just clarifying that there wasn't a period of time where my money wasn't able to be located.

The only trouble I had was the fractional shares that got sold at the moment of transfer - those were sold for cash, and that cash took 2 weeks to be moved to fidelity.

 

That's comforting. I figured RH would say "F U loser, your account's on hold until transfer goes through"

I was pretty meticulous though. I've got my backup shares locked and loaded, and the GF has all hers safely tucked away in Vanguard.

I will, however, be pissed if my tied up shares end up being the difference between getting a private jet or not...

 

First question -- no, no clarification yet.

Second question -- I don't believe so, but I can't say that with 100% certainty.

 

I definitely understand your concern. I did the transfer pretty immediately after the 480-->40 drop... So I was comfortable in the time I believed I had before lift off again.
