Yeah I've noticed "24hr" fast food joints are all closing around 10p-12a and are constantly plastered with help wanted signs.

I've heard people blaming enhanced unemployment but I think the reality is COVID gave a lot of people a chance to step back and reevaluate. Some of those folks got new jobs, and some would rather starve than work for starvation wages. Go figure.

Maybe this "inflation" we're seeing is way overdue, since prices have been steadily increasing for decades while wages stagnate or decrease. Gotta feel the pain sometime after all...

Don't always agree with his takes but respect his will of investigating fraud and a solid plan to escape the rat race.

Plus like him or not ...he kept the ship sailing and invited others to partake in the dream . Nonselfish is a good trait and always reminds to invest what you can afford to lose.

Food carts posting 20-25hr is hardly slave wage. I think people got comfy getting paid to stay at home and complain. Homelessness, drug/alcohol abuse, crime/murder up.... I don't think people are bettering themselves. Also, the hospitals are bursting at the seems... 5% covid.

 

I was there a few years ago and the place was fairly empty (off season). Not many choices when staying in GC.

I broke away from a 2 day hiking trip and spent my 21st b-day at the Ratskeller. It wasn't the bar bash I was hoping for, but the head ski coach picked that weekend to dry land train.
