I made the decision last year - everything goes in VTI. They’re a diversified ETF enough that it’s not worth my time or effort to also include VB/VO alongside it. I just pile it all into VTI and don’t over complicate things with my investment strategy. I might be able to get a few more bucks with another method, sure. But this method is incredibly easy and takes no thought at this point.

Edit: I saw posts about taxes and “edited by moderator” so I won’t join that hurdle because I’m not good at toeing the line :)

Did they edit it? Silly. It was an entirely politically neutral post. All I talked about was basic macroeconomics.

Yes I did edit it. Your last phrase was touching the line.

Guys, seriously...if your post has the word "political" in it...it will be deemed political. You don't understand the bullshit we have gone through in the past just because people can't respect other peoples opinions. That's why it's a no-no subject.

If you feel the need to discuss politics...take it to PM. We do not want it on the open forum. It's that simple.

I would love to know where in that post I advocated for any specific policy, bill, candidate, party, ideology, etc.

Econ is what it is. If someone of some given political persuasion is upset by that, that's not politics, it's immaturity and unwillingness to accept reality.

Mod whatcha like, but there wasn't anything political in there.

It will all settle out just fine, the ultra wealthy will realize the markets are still the best place to park money, they can avoid taxes by not selling for a few years and see if the tax changes again. Or they can just never sell, leave them to their children who can sell the stocks upon their death and avoid taxes. I imagine most will figure taking home 600k on their 1 million profit from GME is better than what they’ll get most places, even if it’s not the 800k they wanted.

You might have rephrased it, by saying "new tax laws" instead of "political moves". :notsure:

It ~mean's the same thing, but draws less attention.

When GME went to $300+ to $170 something that was the biggest swing I've had. And, after everything else that happened until that point I felt nothing lol

As the only person who knows how a thing operates, I know that feel. I'll be working on something else and then called to troubleshoot the thing, even though there are paid people on staff to troubleshoot that thing. At least it allows us to buy FD's stocks!

What did I miss? I actually worked on the truck for a little yesterday and stayed off reddit haha

At the current mining rate, 10,000 new dogecoins are released in block rewards every minute. That works out to roughly 14.4 million new dogecoins entering circulation every single day, or 5.2 billion per year.

For comparison sake, the maximum and total amount of bitcoins that can ever exist is 21 million.

I'd venture to say eventually it'll go down to .1, as it's currently at .21 from the peak.

Do you think that CCIV will be more lucrative than doge?

Theoretically neither position is enough to become LIFE CHANGING

But doge could help me out of the hole 2020 dug for me

vs CCIV I am hoping will become the next tesla and I just have an overall goal of having 1k shares

    "That is a black person."

    Touching the line of racism?

I'm not debating you. There is no debate. But it's your forum, you do you boo. I'll drag out my thesaurus so that things remain comfortably euphemistic for the whiners in the future.

I thought there was a limit to how many could be mined a year. I'm not finding any data to support that.
