Wanted to share the details of the purchase and install for all of those interested in doing this.

First and foremost - it definitely changes the look of the front for the better IMO!

My truck is a 2023 TRD Sport 6MT with the advanced tech (front camera.) Along with the grille, I also needed a separate camera mount as well as the garnish for the TSS radar.

There are plenty of threads as to where to purchase a TRD Pro Heritage grille. I went with the OEM grille just per personal preference. Usually they will want a VIN # with an OEM grille… HOWEVER! I found a beautiful new OEM Pro grille at toyotapartsdeal.com for only $180. And they didn’t ask for a VIN. To find the exact OEM grille with the front camera option I simply typed in Toyota part # PT228-35200-AA as a google search and toyotapartsdeal.com came up as the first option. Pic below:

Along with that, I then ordered a camera mount from Westcott Designs and a TSS garnish from Taco Garage. The camera mount is necessary because the old camera mount won’t fit into the Pro grille. The new camera will sit at the top of the grille. The TSS garnish is also necessary for the shielding of the radar, which sits low on the Pro grille. You can get an OEM garnish but they’re like $400! no thanks. The Taco Garage does the same exact job for much cheaper.

Ok, got all the equipment ready to go. For a guide as to how to install I went to youtube and highly recommend these two videos, one of which doesn’t have the front camera and the other one does:
    https://youtu.be/mjxW4fvu8ek?si=7U9B16D631LJWpsC
    https://youtu.be/WLyheqg5h30?si=WlfcC6CTkw-oZxXu

Between these two guys the install took just over an hour. I took my time with each step and encountered just a bit of resistance undoing the old grille clips, but with patience it’s easily done. Once it was all installed the truck gave me zero warnings and the cruise radar works perfectly! Final product pics below. Good luck to all who pursue this, it’s well worth it.

I always thought the front ends of these trucks stuck out too far. Adding the PRO grill just adds to that.

I went with a grill that was as flush as possible.

Its really dumb that the grille garnish is that expensive. I could see maybe like 90 to a 100 but the price toyota wants is absurd. That being said, I have an OEM one that came with my TRD lift kit and I like the look of it as opposed to the aftermarket ones more obvious silver

This is a great post. Thanks. I have a question. I've read some posts on this topic where some folks have had problems with TSS calibration after remounting the sensor on their new grille. Did you have any problem like this?

We've written about it before and you can search the forum for other threads on it but our garnish has an incredibly good track record. We don't sell the cheapest garnish, we sell one that works, the exact same supplier for years now.
Garnishes are not all the same, lower quality ones are the ones that can give you those kinds of errors. I don't know when the last time we had one of these go bad was, My taco has had the same one for about 5 years now.

I had the dealership put the grill on when I bough the truck. Adding the anytime front camera was the best thing I ever did.

Well, I went ahead and did it based on this thread. Followed it to a tee. The new grill looks awesome. Thanks for putting this thread together.

This was the first (and only) real mod I did. OEM Insert and surround. IMO, every current Toyota truck should have this Heritage grill.
