I hate my 60/40 split bench seats

I know I can order aftermarket seats but what can/should be done about a center console? Just looking for some advice from those who have dealt with this before. Pics are a +. Thanks.

 

An 01-04 center console will bolt into your truck afaik.

 

I've seen pictures where this has been done. I guess what I meant to ask was if I have to find somebody parting out a truck or is there a webpage somebody can direct me to for ordering a center console.

 

Car-part.com, but I would wait until you get a good deal locally or on the first gen parts for sale thread. Places overcharge for them like a motha.

My problem is that my 98 has basically zero storage space. And the arm rest sucks. A new center console would do a lot for me. I'll have to get new seats to even do so though.

 

Did the same in mine...ditched the 60/40s for some Corbeaus. I was able to score a used center console from ebay for about a buck fifty. All the holes are there...you just have to cut a few small sections out of your carpet.

 

I'll have a 60/40 you can have if you want to reupholster it pretty soon once I install my buckets. They're not super bad, but there is a big tear on the driver's side and the headrests definitely need more upholstery.

Would it be a bolt on ?

Would I be able that have transmission stick in place ?

Only consoles have to go ?

 

Found some Subaru wrx seats, they don't bolt right in what so ever but the rails are the same width as stock so bit of welding and they're in. Pretty comfy but I kind of made them tall... Made a center console out of 1/2" birch and put in a sundown sa-8 v3. Hits plenty for me

 

I think so. I'll let you know since I'm putting in 01 buckets. There's kind of a cut out in them for shifters.

I'll be back in town in a couple weeks and install them to find out. I'll pm you when I find out.

The only way I could get them is if you shipped. I think I'm probably just going to go aftermarket. Seems like a good upgrade for comfort.
